I'm surprised the 15 year old girl and the 16 year old boy aren't being brought up on any charges...they were "lookouts?!!" Probably more the conspirators of the whole attempt.

I bet it was some kind of "Dare" just to prove their "Manhood" by scaring an old lady to death. They might have had rape in their mind, but my bet is that they were doing a dare, since it was the older kids who were lookouts.

this reminds me of the 93 (ninty-three.. not a typo) year old woman that got mugged this weekend in minneapolis, they took her purse along with money and wallet and keys... then while she was in the hospital due to the injurys from the mugging, they broke into her house (with her keys) and robbed her of all her christmas presents for her children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren
