Re: Music anyone

Well, I own drums and guitar, but I can play anything once I learn the playing surface of it. Learning theory is quite a bit more important than "how to play," if you ask me.

Just for the record, midi does count. Even just programming musical notes requires knowledge of music and how the notes interact with eachother to become melodic.

Re: Music anyone

I've played Guitar and Bass for nearly 20 years. I'd like to point out that "computer generated" stuff actually takes a lot of skill and technique to do properly, just like any other instrument. Thats all I do these days (techno), haven't actually picked up a guitar in ages.

Currently kinda sucking at guitar. Been playing for a couple months but self taught mostly. I could use a teacher.

Re: Music anyone

Eleven years of alto sax, ten of tenor sax, and six of bassoon. I've been playing mostly classical sax, but some jazz stuff too. I'm also trying to learn some piano for my music theory classes and my own edification.

qft, my friend.

I played french horn in HS (same band as Greflin). I'm friends with all brass instruments except the trombone. I fool around on guitar and with music composition, but I haven't been productive since I've been reproductive.

As I type this, I'm listening to Zib tear it up on the sax. Way to go Zib!!
