Re: Introducing..

I think any gun at that range will do some real damage. It's quite interesting how they got the shotgun round to work there though.

Thats what I would have thought but check out this informal review:

This is a great site for looking at different rounds and firearms for self defence. They measure penetration in water and relate it to penetration of a human (there is a ratio not a direct 1:1). It looks like the shotgun shells from this are not so hot for self defense.

Re: Introducing..

At the end of the movie they show the bad guy leaning in the passenger side and demanding 'give me your car'. In reality are armed drivers actually able to shoot the bad guy? Wouldn't you have to have the gun right there next to you? I have trouble taking the cellphone, the wallet, and now a loaded gun?
Is there any data on how many people with guns in the door defeat carjackers vs. the risks (shooting themselves, kid finds the gun, police sees the gun and thinks you are up to no good, pull gun against nagging wife/idiot passing you, etc)

Sure, but probably not for self defense. This gun would probably be most at home in the holster of an outdoorsman.

There are many other guns that would be far, far more effective as a self defense choice.
You're just saying that because you don't want to be shot with one of those puppies.

I'm getting that for my birthday.

The "Judge"

No not Judge Judy, im talking about the Taurus Judge. I just seen this gun on the outdoors network. One of their shows is about home defense and they seemed to love this nice little handgun. Its a .45colt/410, as in 410 shotgun style. Its a 5 shot revolver, 2.5inch chamber. I mentioned it to my dad and of course he had to have it, so im thinking sweet! My question is does anyone here have one or fired one?

Once I have fired it, which should be in the next week or so I do plan on posting some videos and pictures for it. With a review.

Re: The "Judge"

Um yea...someone else (think it was P8triot) already posted a link to a video about the Taurus. And I said it was basically a handheld shotgun. Powerful and conjures lots of fantasies to mind, too.

I wonder how Robocop feels about the Judge.
