People who don't like fruitcake haven't eaten a good fruitcake, usually. My wife completely changed my mind forever our first Christmas together. I look forward to it all year. She's changed quite a few minds with her fruitcake, actually.

Hate the most: it's between those awful, stale popcorn balls and the dry, chalky homemade fudge that always stays out on the counter at work the longest.

I saw that fruit on bizarre foods.

Anything involving turkey is not my favorite, except the gravy.

yams. Yuck.

There are good fruitcakes. The mass produced ones are pretty nasty.

Ribbon candy is awkward to eat. It is rather large and hard with many odd crevices. Other than that it tastes like any other hard candy.

If fruitcake were made out of chocolate and only used cherries for fruit, I would LOVE fruitcake. Having said that, I don't really mind fruitcake that much, I just prefer to prioritize my calories by eating more tasty things... like chocolate cake.

As for Durian... my wife got me hooked on those things. Unfortunately, they're quite expensive so we don't get it often. It's the smell that puts you off at first, but once you start eating it and forget the smell its delicious!

I hate turkey. And guess what's the main course at most meals this season. But I don't mind the gravy.

That is of course if you can stand the smell, which most people cannot. As soon as you open one it smells like a stink bomb!

my wife and I eat durian when we can get it fresh. She's Thai. It's an acquired taste.

My parents have been trying to get me to acquire that taste for over 20 years. I have yet to obtain it.

P.S. - What's the going rate for fresh durian in other parts of the country. Down here, it's usually $0.99-$2.50/lb, depending on season, quality, and your definition of fresh.

I like certain fruitcake (grandmas home made is the best).

Other than that i like almost all of the holiday foods that my mother makes. We don't have the typical turkey dinner during Christmas or Thanksgiving since our family doesn't like turkey.

Well, I'm not a fan of "green bean casserole". But, no matter what season, you could easily threaten my life by forcing a lima bean into my mouth. YUCK! I'd rather die than bite into those nasty things.
