Fruitcake - My most hated holiday food. List yours.
I hate fruitcake. I cringe everytime I see or hear it's name spoken.

Plain fruitcake is pretty dreadful.
But if you eat it properly (ie drenched in custard and alcohol) it's pretty good!I am the one, I am the zero, I am your low resolution hero.

Y'know I like fruitcake as well. It's funny how everyone is always making fun of fruitcake, yet it's SO widely available around Christmas time. There's not anything I don't like, though. Maybe I'd have to go with Menudo, though. A San Antonio holiday favorite. It's disgusting. The soup part tastes good, but the meat is Tripas, which is all the nastiest parts of the cow/pig. Usually involving the lining of the animals' stomach. Blech.

I love Menudo and I don't mind fruitcake. I'm not a huge fan of eggnog though.

What is ribbon candy?
Menudo is for hangovers, not holidays! (Tamales are good for xmas, though...)

Durian: a mushy and putrid fruit wrapped with a spiky shell that could used as a weapon, like at around 1:00 of this video. Good movie, by the way...

An up close picture.

As you can see, the fruit itself looks like a pancreas. So, if you ever see anyone eating durian, tell them, "Dear lord, quit eating that pancreas! Someone needs that insulin!"Last edited by MasterEditorInChief; 12-20-2007 at 08:09 PM. Reason: Not a holiday food, but a bad one nonetheless
