Abuse is frequently associated with teens and young adults who take benzodiazepines to obtain a "high." This intoxicated state results in reduced inhibition and impaired judgment. When used with alcohol or other depressants with benzodiazepines can be life-threatening. Abuse of benzodiazepines is particularly high among heroin and cocaine abusers.
Only paragraph that caught my eye.

Recreational use of such drugs sounds dangerous.

And for those that don't trust wikipedia... google it, you lazy proletarians.

Oh wait, you're too lazy. I did it for you. This link even has the word NURSE in it, for those of you who can't see past your profession.

http://www.coolnurse.com/benzo.htm

If science gets us nurses who don't know the difference between a steroid and a tranquilizer, I'll take religion.
Ahem...
http://www.streetdrugs.org/benzodiaz.htm
http://www.webmd.com/drugs/search.as...shape=&scolor=
^^look on the left hand side for common drugs in the family.
Also, quoting "coolnurse.com" doesnt make it anything realistic. Having the word nurse in it doesnt have anything to do with nursing. Check naughtynurses.com and tell me if they have any medical legitimacy.
Also, I previously stated that wikipedia means NOTHING to me as it can be contributed to and edited by people with absolutely no knowledge on a subject.

Tell that to the people with actual experience in pharmacology who edit wikipedia entries relative to their field of knowledge. As the skud meister knows all too well, crappy information doesn't last very long on wikipedia.

There were no matches for benzodiazepine. Please try your search again.
I'll take wikipedia over that.

By the way, benzodiazepine isn't a drug. Its a class of drugs.

I'm sure wikipedia is very sad that it means nothing to you. However for the rest of humanity, it means a lot to us.

Re: Electromagnetic smog

Are you acquiring these drugs illegally? Because it's illegal to have these kind of drugs without a prescription.

Who said I had any drugs?

I just said I like to take them. That doesn't imply ownership OR possession.

And when I do have them, yes, of course I have a prescription. Unless I'm on the street buying some.

Re: Electromagnetic smog

So i'll repeat my link and myself since you cant follow basic instructions.
http://www.webmd.com/drugs/search.as...shape=&scolor=
LOOK ON THE LEFT SIDE FOR DRUGS IN THE FAMILY. THEY ARE LISTED IN BLUE.

Also, saying that you like to take them implies addiction, which means you have a much more serious problem and further illustrates why nobody here should take you at all seriously. Seek professional help immediately.

Are you really a nurse? Did you even LOOK at those drugs on the left side?

If a professional nurse doesn't know the difference between a skeletal muscle relaxant (xanax, a type of benzodiazepine) and a bunch of other drugs (my god, this list has a corticosteroid hormone in it AND an antidepressant, something benzos are in no way related to (infact, all 3 of them are in no way related to eachother in effects or molecular structure)... I seriously fear for the welfare of your patients. With all due respect, you deserve to lose your nursing license.

You obviously have NO idea what you are giving your patients, and its really a mystery that you could actually be a nurse.

Re: Electromagnetic smog

Yes, I'm really a nurse, and I actually named several of those drugs in my previous post as seen here:

Stupid, utterly stupid, and I have no remorse about saying so.

Furthermore, questioning my validity as a nurse and trying to insult me wont get you anywhere. You have admitted that you are addicted to prescription drugs and have absolutely no medical knowledge, as you have proved time and again in this thread. I highly recommend that you stop trying to insult me before you get in over your head.

Re: Electromagnetic smog

In this thread: Meth reads off wiki pages and misinterprets them.

Re: Electromagnetic smog

Well, I'm going to leave this thread now because mentholated has dropped to personal attacks and his arguments hold no validity due to his self-contradiction and admitted addictive abuse of prescription medications. I'll be playing PR if anyone wants to attempt to continue the discussion there, but I probably wont answer on the topic.
