Winning bid for this Wii box auction was $305, I think they overpaid...

... and to think, I JUST got rid of the box for my Wii not two weeks ago.

I'm going to give the guy a break, sort of, and say its a bidder with no intention of paying. Either stupid, or one of the losers who bid things up and never pay, fairly bad either way really.

This happens every console release. It was very wide spread at the 360 release. The best so far was a few months after the PS2 was released, all the PS3's that showed up on ebay. They were super Nintendo's painted black with a few other pieces of plastic glued on and a fancy PS3 logo.

You cant bump your own bid on Ebay, it doesnt work. What he probably did was bid 280 and get immediately outbid by someone elses proxy bid, so he had to rebid to get the lead slot.
Still, it wouldn't be that surprising if he was a fake bidder. |
