A few of you may remember me making reference to Edge.com regarding a "meeting of the minds" which tackled the meaning(s) of Life (if it does indeed exist). I brought it up in the "Are We Alone" Thread: http://www.tacticalgamer.com/sandbox...-we-alone.html.

I believe the videos are a bit edited, so the transcripts are the best shot at obtaining ALL the information, but there's still plenty to digest in the vids. (like 3+ hours)

I highly recommend subscribing the this website, it does a good job of bringing the Third Culture in view of the masses. The site is a bit jumbled since there is so much info. on so many different topics, but with a little patience you can just about find anything on any major Scientific or Technological topic.

p.s.
I find Dyson's idea of life arising from a semi-permeable membrane fascinating. (rather than simply a random spike in a primordial soup)
Actually, everything in those vids. is fascinating. Discussions anyone?
