Did you or did you not make a post expressing interest in joining the Air Force?

The whole "Ha ha I was joking I'd never join the Military/Support it" only goes so far.

Re: Berkeley council tells Marines to leave

A South Carolina Senator has suggested withdrawing some Federal funding from Berkeley. As a California resident, I ask that all Federal funding for California be withdrawn. Now give us back our income taxes, please. I think we're qualified to spend them on our own.

I guess they can't either.

Before, I guess I would've said "well I support the troops, its not their decision to be fighting this war.."

But now I place the responsibility squarely on their heads. They're the ones pulling the trigger. So I think what they're doing in Berkeley is certainly moving in the right direction.

Deny them the right to use taxpayer's money to suck in more innocent lives and turn them into murderers. No, not soldiers. Murderers. This whole war has just been one huge excuse for a bunch of cowboys to get their jockstraps wet.

They all know what they're doing is wrong.
Good God! Just when I start reading the Sandbox again, I see this crap. There isn't enough negative rep in the world to express what I think about your comments. Time for me to ignore the sandbox again.

Eh, just ignore the trolls.

You're not going to change his mind through rational discussions or -rep. He's just fishing for a reaction, any reaction. Please just let that post and part of the thread go silently ignored. In fact, please don't even respond to this post on that subject. Just let it end.

Back on topic:
Withholding all federal funding directed that way seems like a good enough idea to me. Berkeley should surely have the right to decide who is allowed in their city, I just wish they'd have the male reproductive glands to try to evict the Marines directly rather than have someone else do their dirty work.

I did not. I made a post about joining the air national guard. Not the air force. And I specifically wanted to work in a division that involves things non terrestrial.

And I don't support it. I'm pretty sure if I ever worked at vandenberg I'd be killed or arrested for treason if I saw anything amoral.

Yo... The Air National Guard IS the Air Force. It's not active duty, but it is a different component of it. Just as I was in the Air Force Reserves. The guard is state funded, and then when they get activated, they receive federal funding. Shows how much you know for being so opinionated.

:-\

Thats kind of the point of joining the national guard, for me, isn't it? If I wanted to be bombing some innocent country we invaded, I'll go join the air force.

Re: Berkeley council tells Marines to leave

Most recent posts make me think it's some combination of he got turned down from the recruiters for whatever problem or disability or what have you and is bitter.

Then we have the thing about space, we hold the keys, and black projects and your desire for non terrestrial? Riiiiiight, bad US government, torturing those innocent alien tourists? Because from what I can piece toghether that's what your hinting at maybe, or do you just mean a Guantanamo type thing. Either way, yet another person who now considers you an ignorant possibly UFO crazy head. You make it sound like if you were in military before or after the war and your deployed somewhere that you have the "easy" choice of not pulling the trigger,,,,, and getting shot/blown up to avoid having to shoot someone to defend yourself and others.

While you preach your life wrecking or whatever you think it is that all these hooligans as you think the entire army that is willing to fire their weapons, know that the ones that we are there for, and barring accidents ( which do happen, no denying that) are the ones who today strapped up a pair of mentally disabled women and sent them into pet shops as unwitting suicide bombers. That's the kind of people we are after, yes theres people that shouldnt be in the military who've done terrible things like shooting animals for kicks ect. But to make the assertion that anyone willing to be in the army and follow orders is this monster, is just asinine. Fits the kind of personality that tend's to be hyper selfish on what they can get out of something while clinging to a pedastal of supriority and passing random outlandish judgement.

I hope this is far as I can go without crossing forum guidelines in expressing my ire and anger over your comment's. If anything think the best thing would be fore the mods to just outright delete much less lock this thread.

That brought a tear to my eye. Though, only the CIA/ISI could come up with something as genius as that, and you buy into it.

Actually the only time I ever went to a recruiting office was to demand that I stop receiving their advertisements in the mail, then I commented on the inferiority of the ceramic plate body armor currently issued (after I watched futureweponZ LULZ), to dragonskin, and left.

It seems quite easy and obvious that since this current military is all volunteer, that if you joined out of your own free will you probably wanted to kill people in the first place or you just wanted to serve your country.

No one forced you to put a round through that guys chest, head, and kidney. In 2-5 years, when we're about to be invaded by hostile alienz'z "UFOZ" the world might unite against the US for stealing upwards of 40 trillion dollars over a period of 3-4 decades in taxes from its own citizens to fund and develop advanced technology. Lets not forget that it started a war against itself to boost funding of those projects under the guise of a false "war on terror," see if the lives taken were worth it. Of course, hopefully it won't get that far.

Ignorance is contagious.

Mentholated, in one single thread, you've managed to alienate yourself from the vast majority of the TG community. You've already earned yourself a place on the ignore lists of several of the prominent and well respected members of this community. You dont bring anything worthwhile to the table and in nearly every thread you post in you wind up insulting someone, if not a large group of people. It's really getting old.

I think it's best if you shut your mouth now before you dig yourself a deeper hole in this thread, and thats the NICE way of saying "god help you if you meet any of us in person".

With all due respect Ferris, I'm part of TG for the gaming experience, not the forum experience, though I do enjoy these lengthy debates, its kind of counter productive when they revolve around how liked I am rather than the topic of discussion. You can always ignore me too.

And insultion is a point of view, usually of those feeling insulted. I never intended to insult anyone, but I did point out my belief that anyone to fight in this war (and take a LIFE) for the reasons that the government (and all of its qualifiers) puts forth, is a murderer. In the same way that white blood cells murder infections.

Re: Berkeley council tells Marines to leave

I find it best to ignore Meth when he's being at his most dense. Yes his words and ideas can be so stupid that they insult your sense of justice and the very nature of the rational world. However, he is entitled to his opinions and has proven time and time again that even if he's shown documented evidence of where his mind took a left turn instead of a right to end up somewhere in la la land, he will deny it until it is beamed into his head by the men in black through his tin-foil hat.

Now...on to something completely different!

Doesn't UC Berkeley have an NROTC program on campus? Or was that Stanford?
