It's very sad that the vaccine theory has gained enough prominence to be (at least shallowly) supported by all three presidential candidates, as it has no scientific basis and is based on paranoia and the potential for litigation.

I had a ton of issues growing up under which I was labeled ADHD and Aspergers...ultimately though I think it was my parent's decision to not drug me or even tell me of my diagnoses until I was out of high school, which prevented me from thinking I was abnormal, that put me through the most stressful years of my life without undue stigma. Even if I am abnormal, I grew up thinking I was normal and by not having that stigma that I see all too often with people that live by their diagnosis I can't help but worry that they're just subconsciously "acting out" in accordance with what they feel they now have to do.

Maybe the DSM-V should be one copy written in Esperanto-Chinglish locked in a top secret vault somewhere in Chile...

Or could we find some way to just tell kids that they're who they are and that is okay?

It is so frustrating.
