This reminds me of during the 2000 election when Al Gore had claimed to visit those fires in Texas but apparently hadn't been anywhere near them. I believe they were in Texas anyway. Mostly I remember "fires" and "Al Gore never visited them."

Yeah, but he also claimed to have "invented the Internet". Nevermind it was actually created by the US Military. I have no idea why these Democrats feel the need to tell fish stories. It obviously hurts their credibility. I guess they figure all their campaign promises are lies, so why not lie about everything.

Why did she throw away alot her candidacy over this? (While that's an exaggeration the fact remains that it was such a stupid little thing to lie over...)

Not nearly the same thing. Gore never said that he invented it. , he really did misspeak and used some easy-to-misinterpret language. Granted, that might have been intentional.

Hillary just made stuff up.

I'm sorry but the very quote that is on Snopes sounds very much like he is trying to take credit for it. It's not really taking it out of context when he clearly states that he "created the Internet".
