(queue swarm of TG men moving to Manhattan) Actually, Charleston is better IMO... it's over 3:1 girl-guy (in a small space)... and they're all perky 18-25 yr. olds. AND they're less likely to be golddiggers. AND the cost of living/partying is less.I know guys that actually make "road trips" to Charleston to partake of its bounty.

Untrue. There's roughly a 53:47 girl to guy ratio in NYC. Sitcoms are probably not the best place to get your facts. http://factfinder.census.gov/servlet...false&-_sse=on

When was the last time you met a guy or girl who was a complete party animal one night, then a stay at home good spouse who wasn't diagnosed as bipolar? She wants a respectful man, but also one that she can worship on her knees. She doesn't want a guy to run his mouth about his "male assets," but then wants to essentially worship it for him. She's set this standard so unbelievable it's no wonder she's miserable. She basically wants to date "Superman" and Clark Kent at the same time and have him switch it up whenever she wants. This is the kind of girl who dates "Bad Boys™" then tries to mold them into another person and in the process either gets dumped for being domineering or succeeds in the change and gets bored with him, hence ending up back where she started. I'm absolutely weeping for her. This woman (provided this isn't just a joke) has serious emotional issues. She can't even be consistent on if she wants a shallow or serious relationship, and then goes on to describe the criteria of a "perfect man." Seriously, who wouldn't want a spouse that could immediately change himself/herself into whatever desire the person wanted? God forbid if "holo-decks" are ever invented. At least then we wouldn't have to worry about her trying to breed.

Re: this girl is looking for a man
Robert Jordan once wrote about a woman who demanded a suitor who would alternately kneel to her every wish, and sweep her off to her bedroom no matter what she said. And god help him if he knelt or swept at the wrong time.

That's a 53:47 female to male ratio. I doubt the results will be any different for downtown Charleston proper. If either of those were much different than the female:male ratio for the general area, the ratio for the general area would have reflected that. The fact is that if you look at the demographics for any sizable geographical area with a sizable population, the ratio of male to female will be roughly the same.

Re: this girl is looking for a man
I can vouch for Charleston. I used to like to head down to the college on any spring day with a bag of butterscotch candy. Sit on a bench and feed the coeds.
Census data is no substitute for horny eyes and horny ears on the ground. It's a baited field, Sordavie. The census people talk to people in their homes, but you only get the real skinny on the dude/chick ratios out at the clubs. |

Re: this girl is looking for a man
And I highly recommend you "see" for yourself.
![]() Just trust us. Census' are garbage and dont reflect modern-day society, especially in a dynamic city like Manhattan. It's ALWAYS been a place with way too many women (if there is such a thing). And Charleston.... dont get me started. Just go check it out... you'll see And have a nice chat with a few ladies in the Financial District in NYC and they'll tell you.

Re: this girl is looking for a man
SO true. Just like it was slim pickings in San Antonio on the dating scene. There, most girls are uneducated, have 1 or more children, are overweight, etc. The single guy to girl ratio is horrendous. You'd have an AVERAGE girl at the bars, and guys are on them like a bunch of ravenous dogs in packs. It's disgusting. BUT, then I went up stay in Fort Worth since last Summer, and it's an entirely different world. The land of milk and honey I should say. I live downtown there, and most women I've met are educated, hot, no kids, and the pretty girl:ugly girl ratio is fantastic. In fact, every time I go out with the guys, it's tough to decide WHICH of the plethora of hot girls to approach. Different locales certainly provide wildly different results...regardless of census statistics. God, I love Fort Worth.

Re: this girl is looking for a man

Re: this girl is looking for a man
Good point, Gringo. It's always to the straight man's benefit when there's a high percentage of gay guys in the mix. It just means more women for us straight folk!
