Re: Challenge: Spin the Black Circle
I'd actually enjoy it if the controls weren't crap !! it keeps glitching on me causing a screw-up.

Fun game, I am currently stuck on level 16. First level thusfar that has given me any real trouble.

Re: Challenge: Spin the Black Circle
Well I got to the last level (24) in a few hours which I can't be bothered completing. There's a disclaimer at the beginning of this game that says you might get annoyed with continually loosing. What they fail to mention is that the controls are so crap you can't help but continually loose. It wont move when you want it to move and when you finally get it going you can't get it to stop spinning. It's a shame really because it completely ruins what could have been a great game. 7/10

Re: Challenge: Spin the Black Circle
I reached level 22 in an hour or two, and the controls were fine for me. I don't know how sleeping on 22 helps though, because the solution to 22 seemed fairly straightforward in theory, and just hard in execution -- there were 2 platforms you had to jump on to, and I could make the jump successfully about one in ten tries, but never got the jump right twice in a row so I'd always fall off after the first one and have to start over.

As for the controls, besides my computer I've showed this to 4 other people and each system behaved slightly differently so your mileage may, and probably will, vary. |

Re: Challenge: Spin the Black Circle
Well, given that there are only 2 available controls in this game -- turn left and turn right -- there's not a whole lot of available diversity in how to approach a problem. So for the handful of puzzles where I didn't really know how to approach it just from looking at it (like the long curved spike-chute one and the one with the rotating plus sign), I'd just throw in some random rotations and watch what happened, and when I got a trajectory that looked promising I'd try to replicate it. But for most puzzles it was pretty much "go down this pathway and try not to hit the spikes", so not so much of the subconscious puzzle solving here.
In more general life? Sometimes. I don't think my memory is very well suited to that style of thinking though, because when I do solve some problem while asleep, I have a terrible time remembering what the answer was when I wake up. ![]()
