"GO AHEAD, THROW YOUR VOTE AWAY."

Third-party never wins, thus third party only damages the real-party candidate you would've voted for.

If neither the Republicans nor the Democrats have good candidates then why not vote 3rd party? What's the point of pigeon-holing yourself?

Re: Obama or Clinton?

Becuase even if neither the republicans or democrats have good candidates, one of them will still get the majority in the large electorial states.

Re: Obama or Clinton?

I voted for Obama on Super Tuesday and will be voting for him again in November.

Re: Obama or Clinton?

I uh... I can't tell the difference. So I'll probably just vote for whichever one gets nominated. Even then, I'm voting Dem because they've been slightly less evil than the other option for the last decade or so.

On the third party thing, you can make an argument that while a third party vote may be seen as wasted in the short term, if you take a long term view of the process then consistently voting for third parties may slowly increase their legitimacy over a period of many years until they eventually become a viable option.

You should never do anything you believe in.

Ever.

Individual freedom to vote is just a nice gesture.

Re: Obama or Clinton?

Part of responsibility is realising the consequences of your actions.

Between supporting the candidate you prefer of an A v. B contest, and damaging the candidate you prefer of an A v. B contest by choosing C when C cannot succeed, choosing C is voting against yourself.

Third-party wanna-bes share the attribute of being blind to the fact that their only hope of success is to win the election during the three years preceeding the vote.

Re: Obama or Clinton?

Obama by a far and wide margin over Clinton or McCain. I'm curious, those that think the world will end if Obama wins and if he does win and things turn out fine, will you come back years from now and admit you were totally wrong?

I wonder, I know a lot of people who drank the Bush koolaid and were proven dead wrong but don't have the guts to admit it, most are just real quiet now, or act as if reality is not reality, serious signs of denial.

I'm not real quiet. I expected big things from Bush, but he turned out to be a born-again victim and a supporter of the Mexican invasion. Eliminating Saddam and sorta-lowering taxes are the only things he's done close to right, and even then he managed to stuff them up.

Looking back, he was still the best option, but that does not forgive his fumbles.

I strongly disagree and know that many former Bush supports would as well. His approval rating is at an all time low.

Even if you, or anyone else, hadn't voted for him, he'd still have got into office anyway. I don't really need to comment on the epic failures of Bush do I? I'd be here forever.

haha I love it how even the 18 year old guy from London knows how much America somewhat hates its president and the things he pulls unconstitutionally.

Lol, it wasn't exactly undercover:

"Al Gore has won the election...No wait...but George Bush is the President...?...I think the autocue's broken guys...? No? Really!?"
