Let's see what happens...Buy 125 shares of Honda (HMC) @ Market
This taps me out - I'll have $119 in cash after my trades are executed tomorrow.

Re: TG Fantasy Stock Market League
I have about 1/4 of my cash locked up in this short at the moment.
That move was from 4/21/08, when I shorted it at 7.60/share. On Thursday, F skyrocketed as high as $8.76. Then on Friday it fell back down to $7.50.
This is why Tybalt doesn't use a stop loss, folks! Talk about a whipsaw...A policy of freedom for the individual is the only truly progressive policy. -F.A. Hayek

Re: TG Fantasy Stock Market League
Yea, a surprise report came out on that day that boosted the hell out of the stock. At one point I was +$1300 due to Ford alone. I decided not to sell because I bought the stock with a long term investment in mind. I suppose what I should have done was sell off the stock when I felt it was near-peak, and then bought it all again later at a lower price. Guess that's why I'm not a day-trader by profession (or even hobby, heh).

Re: TG Fantasy Stock Market League
Closed out my short on F @ $8.33
//Bought @ $7.60, loss in excess of 10% with fees
Purchased 1730 .FRI @ $.10
//.FRI is this: F JUN 6 PUT
////This means that I bought the option to sell F by the third Friday of June at $6.
Explanation: Being that my bet has always been that F would tank sometime between May15 and June15, it makes more sense for me to be in options than shorts. It provides more leverage, set amounts of risk, and a MUCH higher payoff if my bet hits. The option which I bought is down 77+% for the day. I've simply transferred into a position which better fits my outlook. The loss to me is the transfer fees involved, as well as the possibility that I mis-timed the market; I may have bought .FRI and covered my short on F at the wrong time.A policy of freedom for the individual is the only truly progressive policy. -F.A. Re: TG Fantasy Stock Market League
Well, this has been a bad week so far for me. My overall return has been 0.62% from when I first started. Haven't been negative yet, but it's getting awful close. Apple has been by far my best strongest performer gaining over 17%, followed by Schlumberger (oilfield company just like Halliburton), and then Caterpillar. How is everyone else doing so far?

Re: TG Fantasy Stock Market League
I'm up 2.9% overall. Two worst trades so far are
Monsanto (MON) which has tanked since I bought in at 124.96 down to 110.93. Should stop out in the morning. (1403) on that trade.
Proctor-Gamble (PG) has headed straight downhill since I bought in @ $69.20. (660) on that trade. I have two stops set for it. 100 shares of 200 might stop out tomorrow.
My main positions are doing fine. You know about AAPL. Also, Goldman-Sachs has performed quite well to date.
Here's are all my positions right now:
50 shares Apple (AAPL) 1373.00
250 shares American Capital & Strategies (ACAS) 475.00
100 shares Bank of America (BAC) 243.00
Conoco-Phillips (COP) (short 100 shares) - (365.00)
100 shares General Electric (GE) 24.00
50 shares Goldman-Sachs (GS) 1457.00
100 shares Coca-Cola (KO) (145.00)
100 shares Monsanto (MON) (1403.00)
100 shares Nike (NKE) 229.00
200 shares Proctor-Gamble (PG) (660.00)
1000 shares Pulte Homes (PHM) (85.00)
100 shares Toll Brothers (TOL) 172.50
I have several orders open with the hopes of snatching up some good stocks are a good price on a dip.

Re: TG Fantasy Stock Market League
I'm up 1.2% overall right now. Was down mid last week about 1% and then rebounded. I seem to be having trouble breaking the +2% barrier at the moment.
Here's my current positions:
100 Ameren Corp (AEE) (20.00)
1000 Blockbuster (BBI) 110.00
-100 Century Aluminum (CENX) (short) (133.00)
200 Costco (COST) 514.00
1000 Ford (F) 490.00
200 Gamestop (GME) (342.00)
100 Intel (INTC) 49.00
100 JC Penny (JCP) 332.00
100 nVidia (NVDA) 150.00
200 Sanderson Farms (SAFM) (218.00)
500 Saks Inc (SKS) 235.00
100 Snap On (SNA) 555.00
200 Tyson Foods (TSN) (110.00)
200 Take Two Interactive (TTWO) 30.00
100 Williams Sonoma (WSM) (43.00)
I still have $26k of un-invested money. I have a few companies that I've been watching, but they made moves today that made me hold back from any trades. I'm also not happy with a few of the stocks I have, so I might be ditching them later this week. I might be patient, but who knows.

Re: TG Fantasy Stock Market League
Well PG finally got the message and surged this morning on last night's news of better-than-expected profits and PG's raised outlook. So that didn't stop out and I'm now only sitting on a (320) position.
MON too didn't stop out, even though it dipped below my stop in after-hours trading. Today it's up nicely so I'm only staring at a (858) turd instead of a steaming bag of (1403).
Bought 100 UBS @ 33.66
(I have to be VERY careful with UBS because I keep typing USB)
