Re: The Sarah Palin corner of the Sandbox!
I would counter that it's a Troll thread.
It attracted some light.
Ponder that.

Re: The Sarah Palin corner of the Sandbox!
snyde.
On a lighter note guys;
The "Obama Campaign" (prestigious sounding isn't it?)
Has brought all of the Dakota staff here to Wisconsin to help out in a suddenly "in play" blue state. (The Dakotas aren't polling favorably... go figure)
I have to take leave from my dilligent work here at TG and see if some canvassing might land a position with these newfound emergency efforts. The Obama folks are flush with cash and need help reaching out to the more rural counties of SE Wisconsin. A cynical calling to be sure but a mortgage has to be paid. I'll check back with you all and keep you updated in a few days.Last edited by Shottglass628; 09-24-2008 at 11:16 AM. Reason: clarity.

Re: The Sarah Palin corner of the Sandbox!
I'm a McCainbot and even I'm getting sick of you. It was refreshing for a post or two, but seriously, learn when to stop. You don't have to be McCain's crusader through imagined horrors of liberal websites -- this is actually a place for balanced and intelligent discussion, something you no longer seem to be interested in adding to. Get the trolling out of your system somewhere else, and then come back here when you have actual information to share.

"Fact is, this is a tits n' arse racial/gender specific pic on the part of McCain. PERIOD"-Gambit7
That the balanced and intelligent discussion I'm not interested in? Please......
What has happened here is that this has been the political equivalent of a RickRoll.
I'll let you guys get back to talking about Palin. It's the equivalent of chatter about untied shoelaces moments before your teeth get knocked out by the sidewalk. Most of the sharp operatives know the score and now the puzzle is reading the shifts of gravity and power in both parties and how to access them during transition.Last edited by Shottglass628; 09-24-2008 at 02:27 PM. Re: The Sarah Palin corner of the Sandbox!
When faced with debate that doesn't measure up to standard, you can do your best to bring the level of conversation up, or you can bring yourself down to join it. Which one are you going to choose?

Re: The Sarah Palin corner of the Sandbox!
Good point.
Let us go forward from here and make an effort to elevate this conversation.
My apologies to any that I might have offended.
Sincerely,

Re: The Sarah Palin corner of the Sandbox!
I don't know the score. I guess I'm not a sharp operative. Can you tell me the score, or are only sharp operatives allowed to know that?
And do you mean 'assess' or 'access.' If 'access,' can you also tell me how to access shifts of gravity and power? That sounds totally awesome!

Re: The Sarah Palin corner of the Sandbox!
Access...
Consider what lengths individuals or groups go through for "access" to the politics. That's what all the lobbying and so much of the donations game is about. Access and influence is the shadow power and it is measured in cash. That's an oversimplification but consider the lobbying ties with Mr. Mccains advisors and the Rezko stuff that Mr. Obama has had to deal with. From the inside it gets soulless really fast. Consider the record fund raising of this cycle. There is where we operatives feed. Seminar calling for the left, ect. Getting the Soros money has been VERY easy. A week later it's an NRA orgy of cash. If one group falters the cash dries up. So politics is a business for a much larger group of Americans than people realize.
Take a moment to really think about lobbying, access and the cash.
Ps. Amosely; I perused some of your postings and you seem pretty sharp and analytical. I am just too cynical.

Re: The Sarah Palin corner of the Sandbox!
Understood - the access. American government and the political system that feeds it is corrupt. McCain and Obama used to stand up against it, but now they're running for president and the game has changed. What can we do? Vote green or independent, don't donate to or support the mainstream parties or the larger companies who lobby them. Good luck with all that, though, because the vast majority of Americans are not only uninformed, but choose political sides based on first appearances and trivial wedge issues.
But let's get back to talking about that free wheelin', hockey-mom gun-totin' Palin, because I'm sure she's the answer to all of this hipocracy.

Re: The Sarah Palin corner of the Sandbox!
McCain's campaign is seemingly more in a tailspin than the economy.
Seriously, what the hell? How can any sane person defend this absurdity? It boggles the mind.Beatnik
