Re: The Sarah Palin corner of the Sandbox!
Well googling "palin interview unedited" gets a bunch of hits. I guess any will do if you're just there to read the transcript, so here's one:

I don't know if these edits will change any minds, but they present a little context for some of these comments folks are talking about.

Re: The Sarah Palin corner of the Sandbox!
For the record I don't agree with rumors either. But if anyone actually has evidence of McCain dropping Palin I'd like to hear it ASAP. And by that I mean actually substantiated by facts

Also I think Obama has as much foreign policy experience as he's been able to get. But if he's too "green" then I don't want to wait for him to reach an "acceptable" age.
I'm tired of old men in washington deciding what's best for america when my "young" america totally disagrees.

Re: The Sarah Palin corner of the Sandbox!
And what about those of us who agree with McCain? You're generalizing, again. We are not all party-line democrats.
There are many, many young republicans. We are not just some "voting block." We are individuals with our own ideas on government and who should or should not be president.
We are just like you Democrats. The sooner you accept that, the sooner the "change" Obama promises will happen.

Oh lordy,

She brought papa McCain along for the next part of the interview. They really shouldn't have kept her cooped up away from the press, as now they are reaping the rewards. I figure at the debate she will go in the same vein as these interviews and just deploy soundbites for defense.

'Gotcha' journalism is a pretty weak excuse if you ask me. She just keeps digging that hole...

Re: The Sarah Palin corner of the Sandbox!
Hopefully she will do better behind the podium than her recent interview with Katie Couric:
"During the interview Couric asked Palin about the proposed $700 billion bailout of Wall Street.
Sarah Palin: “But ultimately, what the bailout does is help those who are concerned about the healthcare reform that is needed to help shore up our economy, helping the—oh, it’s got to be all about job creation, too, shoring up our economy and putting it back on the right track. So, healthcare reform and reducing taxes and reining in spending has got to accompany tax reductions and tax relief for Americans. And trade, we have—we’ve got to see trade as opportunity, not as a competitive, scary thing, but one in five jobs being created in the trade sector today. We’ve got to look at that as more opportunity. All those things under the umbrella of job creation. This bailout is a part of that.”
We are all used to politicans parroting party line talking points but this is almost indiscernible. Yikes!|TG-9th| TheFatKidDeath

Re: The Sarah Palin corner of the Sandbox!
I'm not saying that. I recognize that there are young people who agree with McCain, Democrats and Republicans. I just see Barack Obama embracing and addressing topics relevant to me. I assume it to be different for everyone else.
I swear to god if I hear another "The internet is a series of tubes..." lecture again my brain will implode. Palin is quickly filling that role. My brain has had an aneurysm 10 times over with her alone.

Re: The Sarah Palin corner of the Sandbox!
Palin has been sequestered at McCain's ranch in Sedona since Monday for re-programming. I'm personally hoping she blows it, but we'll see.

Re: The Sarah Palin corner of the Sandbox!
It's McCain who's blown it, left right and center. He's freezing up and listening too much to talking heads instead of just being who he is and making choices from his heart and gut, instead of listening to analysts. He did this the last time he ran, and became such a pathetic figure, I felt sorry for the guy.
I don't ascribe to either party and have voted both Republican and Democrat, and I've voted for someone who wasn't even a Party candidate, so I really don't come to this with much bias, nor have I decided who will get my vote.
What I do feel, strongly, is that both candidates made mystifying choices for their VPs, and neither make much sense to me--both have put their foot in their mouth so many times, it reminds me of Dan Quayle...actually the quote above reminds me of Miss SC more...oh, lord, I just can't watch it again...can you? Anyway, I think any more indecision on McCain's part would kill his campaign...he's already got enough to overcome with the economy bomb dropping him 10 points in the polls. He won't drop Palin this close to November unless he's decided to say "the hell with it" and show more nerve than he ever has outside the Senate. I think if he could make Obama look like the stuffed suit, instead of acting like one, it would make this race a lot more interesting. Not that it's about entertainment, but...well, let's face it, it pretty much is.
We're screwed no matter who gets in the White House.
