Re: The Sarah Palin corner of the Sandbox!
???
Is there an underlying joke in this statement? Or is my mind just in the wrong place as usual. (I DID just come home from a long trip, so maybe that's it)
p.s.
Palin's beauty pageant swimsuit competition is now available on youtube. I'm not gonna link it for fear of "reprisals." However, enjoy!Last edited by Gambit7; 10-01-2008 at 12:56 AM.

Re: The Sarah Palin corner of the Sandbox!
My girlfriend was so pissed about the interviews she said Palin is an embarrassment and is setting back women in politics.

Re: The Sarah Palin corner of the Sandbox!
Honestly I'd rather have Palin as President than McCain.

Re: The Sarah Palin corner of the Sandbox!
Uhhhh, so she favors state-by-state decisions on Abortion... While I may not agree with it, I can see why she'd think that. See, the problem with Roe V. Wade is that voters never had a choice in the matter - it was a supreme court decision that never was decided by voters. We were all told to simply "live with the terms in this court decision." Now, I fully support Roe V. Wade, but there's definitely room for improvement on any decision that's made on America's behalf.
While she may have delivered a bunch of crap with those answers, the fundamental message of federalism is not "stupid" and does not make her "dumb." Once again, I don't support her position on Roe V. Wade, but that's not why I'm freaking voting. Roe v. Wade will never be overturned, so it's a non-issue in this election.
So, really, what made her response all that stupid? Delivered poorly, yes - but just because she opposes Roe v. Wade does not mean she's stupid, or that she doesn't know what she's talking about. She's had many children, so I'm sure this topic is close to her than it is to you.
Keep in mind, not all pro-life advocates are religious nuts. Some simply view it as a moral issue, with no superstitions attached.
EDIT: Just to make it clear, Palin and Biden are both idiots, especially Palin. But relentlessly bashing her for some idea of what you call "stupid" is just as bad as attack ads you'd see on TV.
Shouldn't Palin be allowed to express her own views without having to consider what John McCain's are? Should Biden just bend over and accept everything Obama says? I think if they have their own spines, good for them...
Regardless, yes. It is a hole. And it's getting to the point where a standard ladder just doesn't cut it.

Re: The Sarah Palin corner of the Sandbox!
Biden actually knew what the hell he was talking about. He's very knowledgeable (of course he still has politician-itis). I think Palin gave crap answers and is a crap VP pick. There are so many better candidates.
When it comes down to it Palin just doesn't know her politics well enough. Biden does. I ask for evidence refuting this statement. Seriously is Palin even fit to be Governor?
And to the idea that Palin is still good because she's a yes man, I call BS on McCain's part. Look at McCain's cabinet picks and he's sticking to party lines with a bunch of yes men. At least Obama is picking all over the place, across party lines and more. Biden is a small representation of this.

Re: The Sarah Palin corner of the Sandbox!
I'll get you some links tommarow. There were a couple of reports on the candidates and their choices for their team (I'm not quite sure if cabinet picks is accurate). My dad, now retired, decided to do some background checks, simple google searches on the candidates. It seems Barrack Obama has chosen some conservatives, where McCain is only picking conservatives.

Re: The Sarah Palin corner of the Sandbox!
OMG, that CBS interview was horrible. She can't name ONE other Supreme Court decision she doesn't like? WTF? How about Brown V Board of education since she's so pro-states and local rights?
/facepalmPalin thought bubble (@ 3:00): Oh, jeez, another one. Let's see something about how cool America is. Yeah that worked. Ummm, I don't know the names. Crap, deflect it, turn it into populism. Yeah this is working. Uh, oh she's onto me. Stop shaking head. OK, Roe V. Wade time. Start nodding. I know about Roe V. Wade. Something specific? Hmmm, better deflect some more. States Rights is good, that's a good answer.
Looks like another election where I wont get to vote. Yay for Oklahoma and their stifling of third party candidates. In any case a vote for Obama would be a vote against Palin (sucks for you McCain) so I may have to do that just to keep her as far away from DC as possible.~~ Veritas simplex oratio est ~~
