Re: The Sarah Palin corner of the Sandbox!
They actually have all the Palin clips from the daily show in one place:

I don't know if I'm crying because it's so funny, or that there is a chance she might be our vice president. I mean come on, we raged on Dan Quayle because he misspelled a word! At least he had a clue about everything else!!!!

Here are some of the don't miss ones:

The art of war is simple enough. Find out where your enemy is. Get at him as soon as you can. Strike him as hard as you can, and keep moving.

Re: The Sarah Palin corner of the Sandbox!
Does anyone honestly expect to learn anything from this debate tonight that is not already known? Palin will further cement herself as unqualified and Biden as another uninspiring vanilla Democratic.

Re: The Sarah Palin corner of the Sandbox!
Actually, I think it's Biden's debate to win and Palin's debate to lose. People expect Palin to surprise us and people dont really know what to expect from Biden. They're both good debaters in their own way. Regardless of if we learn anything substantial, we'll learn who's the quicker witted and ultimately smarter and/or more qualified.
In reality, I think Biden does better in town-hall/debate type formats where you're having a conversation rather than him standing at a podium giving a stump speech.

Well, I've seen 15 minutes of the debate and that's all I can take. I am officially changing my vote as of right now. I'm going 3rd party. (probably Libertarian).

My goodness, if this person gets elected to the 2nd highest office in our nation, we will be the laughingstock of the whole world.

Re: The Sarah Palin corner of the Sandbox!
Welp, the media has managed to spin this to say Palin did a great job and she'll be a shoe-in for the 2012 election assuming McCain loses or dies. Okay, what they smokin and where can I get it? The obvious attempt at them being unbiased has made them quite ridiculous.
Sure, she was a "fresh voice" but that voice was annoyingly idiotic... barely able to form complete sentences via meaningful phrases. I dont think she actually answered a single question until it had to do with gay marriage, the rest she borked or diverted.
The only thing she accomplished was not making a total fool of herself. I guess that's enough these days eh?

Re: The Sarah Palin corner of the Sandbox!
Did anyone seriously expect anything from either one of them? I watched the debate and spent most of my time wondering why I didn't just get back to grading my papers. (answer: I didn't want to get off of the couch.) I was disappointed by the Presidential debate because I thought both candidates performed well below their abilities. This one pretty much went how I expected. I was still annoyed by Palin's refusal to actually answer the questions she was given.

Re: The Sarah Palin corner of the Sandbox!
I am very disappointed. She needed to attack the questions and instead she leaned on the campaign quotes and her question dodges were clumsy. If you want to talk about experience, we see what a few years vs. three decades of question dodging looks like. She opened herself for counter-statments that she couldn't defend against, and that hair in her left eye was very distracting. Brush it aside, girl, Biden already caughed on stage, you won't get the top faux-pas for fixing your bang.
The crux of the matter: Biden had nothing to win, he's just VP. Palin had everything to lose, because everyone legitimately knows that she has a much greater chance of succession than Biden has. She needed to sell a Palin presidency and she did not do a very good job of it in my opinion. She's Just Another VP at this point, and I doubt she will be able to recover from that status.
As rare as this is, I am agreeing with one of the commentator comments, that this really won't make much of a difference after a day or two.

Re: The Sarah Palin corner of the Sandbox!
Too bad your history teacher isn't around right now to slap you, as you reach for some obscure definition of federalism.
Look, I'll be the first to admit that Governor Pallin hasn't done much to impress me, but I don't see why some of you are stretching to make her look bad. If she said she wanted to protect bats because they eat so many mosquitoes and you start going off on the fact that baseball bats don't eat mosquitoes, would you feel smart?
And to correct anyone else's misconceptions, federalism is a government system where government is shared between states and a national (central) government. The USA is a federation. Each state in the USA is also a federation of counties (or parishes).Become a supporting member!

Anyone else surprised to see now questions about energy during the debate?
Just kidding, I wasn't surprised.
