I think Phantom Lord is simply a frustrated individual who really, really wants to be a Republican...but doesn't know how.

Here is what I am thinking. PL doesn't have a clue what is going on in his own town. He knows there is a smoking ban that was about to go into effect but didn't know how that occured. I got a sneaky suspicion that PL is a Democrat and just assumed that it was the Republicans that were trying to get the ban into effect, and that they were to blame simply because they were Republicans.

Sad thing is, he didn't get anything right in this thread (the Senator post, the post about the Mayor passing it when it was the City Council that did so, who the actual mayor was that did get the ban passed and what party he was in...). It is one thing to get a few facts wrong every now and then. We all fall victim to that. However, when all your facts are wrong, that is just plain sad.

Wouldn't you then say that this proves the media has a detremental and leftist impact on an ignorant populace???

If someone just blindly assumes Republicans are doing bad things, without even knowing the facts, I'd say the media is waging quite the effective war against conservatives in our nation.
