Re: People who think gay is a choice...
Why would it make sense for a gay person to be able to choose to be straight but the opposite be impossible?
Some people just like the touch of skin and don't have gender hang ups.Just because everyone does something does not mean that it is right to do.

Another victim of the political correctness wars:

Moore lives in Fort Gay, a small town of under 1,000 people in West Virginia's Wayne County. The word "gay" in the place name set off red flags with Xbox Live, and Moore found himself suspended, the town name removed from his bio."At first I thought, 'Wow, somebody's thinking I live in the gayest town in West Virginia or something.' I was mad. ... It makes me feel like they hate gay people."Toulouse says team member training has been updated to better address issues such as these, so residents of Intercourse, Pennsylvania, and Cumming, Georgia, can rest easy.Dude, seriously, WHAT handkerchief?

Re: People who think gay is a choice...
Which is actually quite interesting, considering the fact that the xbox live rules were amended in january to specifically allow people to say that they're gay/lesbian in their gamer profiles.

Re: People who think gay is a choice...
Let me ponder this for a while.
...............
Pondered.
Me personally all I said was I could choose to have sex with a man. That doesn't really make me gay. That doesn't mean I desire to have sex with a man.
Just because you choose to have sex with your gender doesn't mean you choose to actually desire to do so.
But I think do understand the point. There could be those that don't desire or crave a particular gender. They just want sexual human contact. What is desirable to that person is not based on genitalia or mannerisms but something else. So they are not gay or straight.
Amen.
Doesn't change, I think, my friends point. You desire what you desire.
Now I don't want to imply that just because you desire something means you deserve to get what you desire.
There are adults that actually desire sex with children. Some desire to kill others and bathe in their blood. All kinds of freaky desires out in the world.
And in the distant past the desire to have sex only with the same sex would be bad overall. It wouldn't produce off spring and human kinds future could be put in jeopardy.
But today this particular desire doesn't present any danger to the survival of the human race. There are ways to produce offspring without natural insemination. And the human population, which is over 6 billion, is not threatened by homosexuals doing their thing.I’m not racists, I have republican friends. Radio show host.

Re: People who think gay is a choice...
I don't think everybody got or read that memo.
One of the problems that can occur is that someone again complains and get him suspended yet again."Someone took the phrase 'fort gay WV' and believed that the individual who had that was trying to offend, or trying to use it in a pejorative manner," Toulouse said. "Unfortunately, one of my people agreed with that. ... When it was brought to my attention, we did revoke the suspension."
Complaints, he notes, come to agents with no contextual information, including who the suspected offender is or what games they play. The agent simply looks at the language and determines whether it complies with policy.
The Xbox Live player's contract says users cannot "create a gamertag, avatar or use text in other profile fields that may offend other members," and lists potentially dangerous topics such as drug use, hate speech and racial, ethnic or religious slurs.
The Code of Conduct, however, says players may use words including lesbian, gay, bi and transgender to express relationship orientation in their profile or gamertag.
Toulouse contends his team rarely makes mistakes but acknowledged, "Absolutely, a mistake was made here, and we've updated our training to account for that."
