Ironically enough, I know where the original "Charlie" is. He's now working as a veteranarian in upstate New York. FWIW, he's happy with his life and doesn't miss acting.

My verdict is out, but his character doesn't look ... mysterious.. enough yet. Gene Wilder's character was a mystery right up until the end. If I don't get the same out of Depp, I'll be disappointed.

But then... it's DEPP, so what's to worry about, right?

Teasers tend to suck, a lot, and this one is no different.

It does look interesting, but the big selling point is Depp. Which is the only reason why I, personaly, am going to see it.

BTW: Was it me, or did Depp look really old?

Seriously, I didn't either. Until I saw that trailer, you all had me convinced that Depp could pull it off. Now I've got worse doubts than when I started this thread...

I surely hope the movie is better than the trailer. If it isn't, then the classic is the best Willy of all time.
