Re: Nice move Michael Moore

That's how a lot of the most ardent hollywood anti-gun liberals behave: no-one should have the right to carry guns except for their personal bodyguards.

No-one's going to kill Michael Moore but a sandwich might.

Oh, the incredible twisted irony....

The guy makes a film about fear and gun culture in America.

Everyone in the US that loves guns, hates him so much, that I would give him a couple years tops before someone kills him.

He has to have an armed bodyguard to protect him, because he's living in fear of assassination.

Haaaa, too funny.
Of course it's the epitomy of Irony, but whether or not someone is going to laugh or not depends on their position on gun-control.

I'm not laughing.

I don't believe that Michael's worry about death threats have anything to do with America's Gun culture. Someone as outspoken and contoversal as he is could be threatened no matter what topic he had chosen to inflame and no matter where in the world he was. Remember only a criminal would want to kill him, and a criminal will ignore gun laws anyway

Re: Nice move Michael Moore

that's the whole point he is trying to achieve which he has done.. He wants to be thought of as a "dick" and as anti american. His purpose is to show how this is done so you can measure it with every other peice of crap media that goes on through your 6 major news companies in the US. They're all feeding the american public a bunch of crap. If there was one way to see all the news in the world, from an american patriotic standpoint we would be absolutely blind to all other cultures views of the world and ourselves, which IMO we're pretty close to already. Michael Moore sacrifices himself and his reputation to show the public a different view. Your supposed to get pissed and mad about it but it does force a different view of the world as others see it. That the only purpose i see in it.

that is soo damn wrong... omg... i have wanted to kill people, but i ahve never thought i could do it and get away with it.

with a rifle its possible, in the heat of the moment ity would not be hard to pick it up.

and pistols are worse.

the gun is a tool, with all its advantages it makes killing easier. therefore the harder they are to get the less chance there is of some joe nobody getting one.

And that would make you a non-criminal, also known as a law abiding citizen, or subject. Maybe I should have said a criminal "would" kill him instead of "want to", but you get my point.

What's wrong about the issue that criminals ignore gun laws?

Quote:

So... it's a weapon of opportunity type thing? What about kitchen knives?

Quote:

Hence why it is illegal to carry a pistol around without a license. It has nothing to do with how deadly it is, but with how easily concealable the weapon. Further, it's another reason it's illegal to carry butterfly knives, bats, sawed-off shotguns, etc.

But we all saw how much damage a properly motivated person could do with just standard small-caliber rifle (Washington D.C.).

Pot is illegal, and it was easier to get than alocohol was (when I was under 21). A pot dealer would sell his stuff to anyone because the crime is there no matter what. Licenced gun dealers don't sell to people not legally allow to own guns because the penalties involved.

I'll bet good money that it's much harder (per capita) for the government to trace guns in countries like England than it is in the US. Because you have completely outlawed the handgun, there's no offical laws on the books to have them registered.

Here in America, sometimes even filling off the serial numbers won't do you anygood if the pistol has been barrel tested. It's like a gun fingerprint. Granted, my knowledge on English ballistic forensics is very limited.

As for Micheal Moore, something tells me his fate will be decided by McDonalds, not the NRA.

Re: Nice move Michael Moore

Looks like Fox blew it:

Explanation
Patrick Burk is not Michael Moore’s bodyguard, nor was he protecting Michael Moore or in any way involved with Michael Moore on Wednesday night, when he (Burk) was checking in at JFK for a flight to Los Angeles.

Though I realize a Michael Moore connection would be of interest to your web site, Patrick Burk is not Michael Moore’s bodyguard, and has never been employed by Michael Moore.

An important note for you is that Patrick Burk is not a public figure and even the smallest inaccurate detail that is widely disseminated could predictably interfere with his ability to pursue his profession. Patrick Burk is a former Marine who served with distinction in an elite and specialized Marine unit, and he protected, among others, then-President Clinton.

...and Dudeman if I was trying to insult you you'd know it! I have no reason to be subtle. Go find someone else to piss on!

Yeah, I tend to not laugh when I don't see humor. That's normal.
