Many no talent hacks have that: look at Creed and every Punk band that made a label.

Hmmm, well, I think being filthy rich and having to beat women off you is quite a talent...

YEAH! Right on, Fenix. Same can be said for pretty much all mainstream rappers.

What's Usher supposed to be anyway? Soul? Funk? He's got nothing on Afrika Bambaataa, that's for sure.

Or it could just be dumb luck. Look at the idiot on American Idol who went on with the specific purpose of sounding like a wailing cat. Money comes easy if you have a gimmick, and girls with low-self esteem will always flock to any idiot with a shred of popularity.

Punk bands consist of nothing but some middle-class kid screaming into a mic about how crappy his life is while his guitar player jams power chords he learned on guitar pro. Creed wrote two songs: one of them is just remixed into the 10,000 other songs they have and the other is "What if" where he jacked STPs singers voice and then lost his voie and had to cancel a show because of it.

If anything, it just shows how stupid your average consumer can be.

Usher falls into the Soul/R&B category.

MTV barely plays music. MTV2 seems to be the mainly music. While MTV is nothing but a bunch of stupid TV shows. (The real world for example.) Granted I wouldn't mind seeing a The Real World: Hell where they actaully go down there and show us what its like. Ya know end all this speculation.

Re: Note: Usher fans prefered....

Mtv very rarely plays music videos, yes. Mtv2 does play music, but it has to have a theme behind it, like "Whinney 17 year olds talking about how bad their life is (what passes for rock music now a days) and we cant forget the "black guys dancing around and pretend they're "tough" or "gangstas"" (Rap).. those guys crack me up.

The truth is, music is dead. Rock, Rap, R&B, Soul, whatever. Its all 1 genre now, recycled crap. I personally blame MTV and all the top 40 radio stations that only seem to play 4 maybe 6 songs a day (which is kinda of ironic since its supposed to be a top 40 station...).

Marilyn Manson said it best: Rock is dead.

oh god is he going to start singing frank sinatra now, coz if he does im gonna stab him...

heavy metal man thats where the music is at, and some rock bands, Marilyn manson is good too, i liked his cover of tainted love.

MTV blows dont you guys get The Music factory", or Karang... those are much better for actual music playing, instead of...."look at this stars house.... and countless reruns of crap like jackass...(not that jackass is crap but once you have seen a trick it looses its humour so stop bloody showing it.)

Re: Note: Usher fans prefered....

I might take Manson seriously if he could actually sing and didn't chalk his entire career up to: look like a freak. Admit it, he's famous for his image, not his music. And if he is famous for his music, then the music industry really is in the crapper.
