Re: Note: Usher fans prefered....

My sister was a big Usher fan a while back so I heard some of the songs, borrowed the CD's and enjoyed a lot of it. It really depends on your musical taste though.

Re: Note: Usher fans prefered....

I happened to like Jay Z just for the fact is. He is the only original "gangsta rapper" from the 90's. The guys been around for 10 years and can still sell records. He's on a very short list of recording artists (I hate that word) that can still say they can make a top 10 album after a decade of being around. I also like Linkin Park. They're probably the only now band I listen to on a constant basis.

So that little team up, I thought, was cool. 99 problems\1-step closer is such a great song.

And yes, I do like Manson, and I still like Manson. I've always been a Manson fan, and still to this day own every single album he has made. He totally got his fan base from his image, thats what drew me to him at first. And the fact that he cant really sing just makes him even better.

Re: Note: Usher fans prefered....

I don't think they ruined their fanbase. Alot of guys who I guess would fit into a "punk" category have been saying his lines from the songs. ALso I dunno why they teamed up I am not big on Jay Z. Also i believe the orginal gangsta rappers are N.W.A.

Nah... NWA might've broken the genre open into the mainstream, but Ice-T was popular before Straight Outta Compton was released. Too $hort had been around for years, too. Gangsta was big on the west coast for quite a while before it become popular nationwide...

Re: Note: Usher fans prefered....

I like his rhymees but I dunno he just doesn't sit well with me. Not sure why granted I think the song Never Let Me Down had something to do with it. Kanye and J. Ivy's lines are great but Hova's is his usual I am better then the rest but it just doesn't fit the song. I dunno maybe I am being to hard on him. However I do respect him for literally being at the bottom (selling mixtapes on the corner) and raising to the top. Hopefully my friend will be as lucky. He has a mixtape out and is planning on releasing another mixtape and an album.
BTW yes I prefer Nas over Jay-Z.

Re: Note: Usher fans prefered....

xzibit is pretty real and not up on himself. his "pimp my ride" mtv show I think shows a real side of him, and hes pretty down to earth. funk master flex though, he's an idiot. he has to be gangsta every second. xz makes some pretty good music too.

however, I dont listen to music anymore. I wish I had you guys's free time. anytime I get a sec to listen to music, I am listening to perfomance mixes for mistakes and missed edits, going through raw spoken teaching to edit for retail sale, listening for where I need to adjust the recording mix..... etc.

Oasis

Oasis is pushing it i think but the first two are correct, and there are others. lwts just say they dont cover themselvs in cheap gold and fury coats and pretend they are some kind of hot shot.

Yes however he was famous years and years and years before any of that even started.

he became famous for his music not his image. and further more he is not in the tabloids every time he goes shopping in some highly active paparatzi hangouts, "without knowing it"... yeah ok...

he married Gwyneth Paltrow
