Indeed.

I would've taken it off and sat on it, though...

Yes but then you would have gotten a cold or the flu.

You can't win this. My mother has spoken and her mother-logic will defeat any kung-fu you may think you have: science, evidence, logic, proof. It matters not.

Ah, you're right, and speaking of mother-logic, that reminds me of another childhood story:

I'm with my parents grocery shopping. My mom liked to have a box of kleenex in our Suburban (yes, an evil SUV, 20 years ago!) to wipe noses, clean up spills, etc... The kleenex got used for everything... But since there were so many kids in and out, she always bought the cheapest generic facial tissue she could find. At home, she always bought the expensive Kleenex brand or Puffs brand for her sensitive nose. Well, we're in the grocery store and she puts a couple boxes of Puffs tissues in the shopping cart and then a box of the rough generic tissue in the cart. My dad points out that the Puffs brand tissues are on sale and that they're cheaper than the generic stuff for the same amount, so why doesn't she get the good stuff for the truck this time? She responds that she doesn't want to waste the good stuff on wiping up spills and letting the kids blow their nose with it. My dad again points out that the good stuff is actually cheaper right now, so why not indulge? My mother refuses to waste the good stuff in the truck. My dad muttered to me something about female logic and my mom blew up. It was the only time I'd ever seen them fight (argue loudly) in public.

This was when I realized that mother-logic/wife-logic is inarguable. I still give my mother a hard time about this "logic" and she still defends it as being right. I've learned to concede any argument that involves mother-logic.

Turns out that cold weather does stress the immune system and can lower our resistance to infections, especially if we're not accustomed to it. So Maree Gleeson, an exercise physiologist at the University of Birmingham in England, suggests that athletes competing in cold climates protect themselves by limiting exposure and wearing warm clothing.

Can't believe I missed this.

Your comment intentionally and maliciously targeted Wolfie's feelings towards his deceased relative by claiming that he did not respect his grandfather because of some moronic value system you seem to have all in some half-hearted attempt at an arguement. I pointed out exactly how disrespectful that was and yet you turn around and spout of some sarcastic "wit" and that's supposed to prove I'm wrong?

I think you should refrain from casting stones until you learn what respect truely means.

When he results to caustic attacks towards other members to make an arguement: yes.

Um, I have worn a formal overcoat over my suit and it did not keep me warm in cold weather. While it works for weather that is simply chilly, it doesn't work very well in freezing weather. Its a personal preference but give me a true winter coat anytime over a formal overcoat.

I choose to ignore his personal attacks nowadays. Anyone who uses them or emotions to debate their side of an issue don't have a leg to stand on.
