01) In the old west, a man is headed west along a rarely traveled path in the late afternoon when he comes across someone standing in the way. The person proceeds to rob the man. As one of the people in the back of the coach is giving a description of the bandit, the sherriff discredits everything he is saying immediately. Why?

02) Three women check into a hotel and the fee is 30 dollars. they split the fee and pay 10 dollars a piece. after they have checked in, the attendant realizes a mistake was made and and the guests should have only been charged 25 dollars. he gives the bellboy the five dollars and tells him to deliver it. the bellboy explains the situation and the women take the money and give the bellboy 2 dollars for the trouble. the women start to add up the money, and come up with an error.... the women each paid 10 dollars for a total of thirty, and each recieved a dollar in change for a total of 27. if the bellboy took the remaining 2 dollars in change as a tip, this equalls only 29. where did the other dollar go?

3) a doctor and his son are in an accident and are both rushed to the hospital. when the doctor comes in to the operating room, the doctor says "I can't do this, he's my son!" What happened here?

02) It is still there. Each lady pays 10 dollars. 10 X 3 = 30 dollars. Then the owner notices the mistake and sends back 5 dollars. However, the ladies give the bellhop 2 dollars so they only got 3 dollars back. 25+3+2 = 30. This is the popular exception to the math rules. (10-1)X3 + 2 does not equal 30.

3) The doctor is the son's mother.
