13)
On my way to the fair,
I met seven jugglers and a bear
Every juggler had three cats,
Every cat had three rats,
Every rat had two mice,
All the mice had nine lice,
Lice, mice, rats and cats,
Seven jugglers and a bear,
How many in all were going to the fair?

What ten letter word, beginning with 'T' and ending with 'R', can be typed by using only the top row of letters on an typewriter?

The question only means that when you qualify it with that pharse in parenthesis. That is why the riddle is hard... because of what is unsaid. Unfortunately it could read this way

what word in the english language is the (word) "longest."

That means something completely different.

you have to qualify the pronouns to make it clear, but that destroys the riddle.

12. What coin doubles in value when half is deducted?

13. When is 70 bigger than 100?

14. Why should you never mention the number 288 in front of anyone?

15. How many times can you subtract 6 from 30?

Hmmm... toughies.

I'll take a couple stabs though...

12) well... any coin theoretically doubles in value when half of the total number of coins are deducted from circulation... that doesn't really happen now-a-days though since currency is only a placeholder and does not hold any actual value itself. if it were a collectors item type coin that would be true though.

15) Well my instinct rells me that you can subtract 6 from 30 an infinite amount of times... but DdogG's riddles are too slippery for that kind of pure math, aern't they?

How about just once...
then you would be subtracting from 24.

13.... try time....... 70 seconds on a microwave is 1 minute 10 seconds where 100 is only one minute.
