It certainly wasn't intended as an attack. Of course kids matter- what a silly thing to say.
I found it pretty incredible that *anyone* could have gotten that answer without looking it up. When someone asks how you came to an answer, it isn't them saying you are stupid. It's them saying "Wow.. how the hell did you figure that one out?"
