Come on Dave, if they printed headlines like that then they would sell many papers now would they?

I personally think the main problem with this country is the news papers now reporting on the actual facts. They just say what people want to hear.

Fear, Uncertainty, and Doubt are the working horses of the US "news" system. Support National Public Radio and your local public radio arm; they're the best thing we've got anymore.

I used to like NPR until it became the mouthpiece for liberal talk radio... I don't think NPR should be publicly funded with the lineup it has right now.

NPR is totally skewed...I honestly aren't happy with ANY news or radio shows...they're all too polarized.

When are we gonna see a return to 1950's type journalism??? Where the personal muckraking was shunned and they just tried to report the facts ???

What programs bother you, and make you think it has taken a liberal slant?

Are you so sure that the news back then was so impartial? Just like we perceive the christmas shopping season to start earlier every year, even though it doesn't, I'm inclined to believe that the news agencies have always been skewing the material, but that for ammo to back our current complaints, we hold past times up as "pure".

I never said the past was "pure." Hell..maybe they outright lied to us even more back then...however I've arrived at a conclusion.

We have and expect too much "freedom." People, to some extent DON'T need to be told the whole story about everything. Some things should actually be kept quiet.

Too much freedom leads to chaos...people need to be controlled or society will lapse into anarchy. it's already happening...albiet slowly.

We DON'T DESERVE everything. We deserve nothing really. No-one owes us anything.

BS.

The United States today has more legislation restricting people's actions than any other society in all of history... To say that we have too much freedom is simply laughable...

Try again...

You don't get my point...

I'm talking about how the law protects the media...radical minority organizations and other far-left of center type groups. This special protection gives them much more voice than the mainstream American.

THATS what I mean by too much freedom.

Personally, I'm growing to hate this nation and what it represents. It is NOT what our forefathers had in mind at all anymore. America is a hollow shell of it's former self thanks to minority interests and corporate lobbying.

Why do you think the terrorists hate us so much???...all we represent is hip-hop, pepsi and the gap. We have no percieved "soul" as all we are seen as is the free-market whore of the free world, destroying all traces of culture we come in contact with. If we had more conviction, they would respect us.

I walk around in the city...seeing clueless women gabbing away on their cellphones, driving like maniacs. I see meatheaded guys in tight turtlenecks with "bling-bling" chains around their necks...It's the same everywhere. No soul...we simply chase after the almightly dollar. Honestly, since everyone seems to be so damn shallow here in the U.S. in the first place, they probably deserve to die.
