Thank you for pigeon-holeing an entire subset of the public by comparing them to felons who's direct actions cause harm to others. And homosexuals damage people directly how? Oh yea, the weak-willed might be harmed by seeing something they view as wrong.

I see a distictive similarity between this arguement and those against Blacks, Jews, Native Americans, Muslims, anyone the Church hates at that specific moment.

Christians made the life-style choice to hate everyone not like them and I'm forced to put up with that. I think that qualifies me as pretty tolerant. Why couldn't Christians do the same for Gays? Oh yea, a magic book of fairytales indirectly tells them not to be tolerant, and actively kill anyone who works on the Sabbath, and that they can own non-Christian slaves, and kill their kids if they talk back.

This is almost as good as the bible-thumpers claiming to be oppressed because the government won't let them cram Jesus down grade-school kids throats.

Yea, they were pretty pissed off when Lincoln told them they couldn't own blacks anymore either.

Let's just completely forget the fact that people can be "born gay" and that it's observed in nature by other mammals. I mean society evolves and moves on, but the Church should be exempt after 2000+ years of torture, murder, and theft.

You want to stand your moral ground? Feel free: just keep from applying what you claim as moral to other people. And also remember, Christians gave up the "rights" to define marriage, when they gave it over to the government.

I still find it hilarious that the idea of two men or women deeply in love getting married in a chapel will have bigots out front protesting, but a drunk old-man marrying a hooker in Vegas causes no waves.

PS: For the record, I'm not gay and really don't agree with the lifestyle at all. Granted, I'm not Christian either and don't really agree with that lifestyle either. Maybe we should learn to just deal with what we don't like about society rather than claiming they should burn in Hell because... well because my God can beat up your God!

This part I can cover. Leviticus 18:22 -- "You shall not lie with a man as with a woman; such a thing is an abomination." Leviticus is the fire-and-brimstone set of rules; chapter 18 is all about who not to hump and why.
