Re: What product would you recommend to anyone?

I've been driving a loaner 330ci with sports package this week while my car's in the shop. I recommend it.

Man screw the 3 series. They're like exepensive Mitsu Galants or something. The REAL Cars BMW make all have M in the name.

Hmm. I agree that the Ms are terrific cars, but I'm not sure I agree with you that a 330ci is like an expensive galant. Funny thing though, some kid in a mazda 6 tried to race me the other night. I used to drive a v6 626 and there is no comparison. Straight, curvy, or standing still the bimmer spanks it.

The non-Ms, in my experience, are capable of much more than I am brave enough to ask.

Re: What product would you recommend to anyone?

Was it a Mazdaspeed6? Because if so, that thing would give you a run for your money. So would a 4-door 3.

But if it was me, I'd just go straight to the big guns and get an AMG, if I was gonna go for a sporty luxurymobile, which just isn't my type anyway.

If that was directed at GitS I agree entirely, if it was directed at me- yeah right. Who test drives a car when they don't have a license? LOL

And my real problem with the 3 series is that every time I've seen one, it's always got DUB 2s DAT BE SPINNIN and the guy inside is talking on his cellphone and for some reason or another, wearing sunglasses. Then again, every time I seen an M3 it's convertible and there's a woman driving and swerving around.

Best part is, me without my license, I can STILL drive better than these people. Some laws are meant to be bent in extenuating circumstances

Re: What product would you recommend to anyone?

LOL... Kids...

Once you have the experience that age brings, you'll understand just how wrong you are. I would happily put my wife up against you in a road course and be fairly confident that she would win because she has many YEARS of experience. I would venture to say that most of your driving experience comes from video games. The funny thing about kids is that they don't know what they don't know until they finally know what they didn't know.

Also, from my personal experience as a previous BMW owner, the Gallant is no comparison in any way, shape or form to the BMW 3 series. Or 5 series. Or 7. Or 6. Or 8. None of them. It's a different league entirely. If you want to pick on BMWs, make fun of how often it'll be in the shop for "preventive maintenance" and how that maintenance will cost as much as some people pay for their entire car. But, when you start comparing them to ANY Mitsubishi, anyone who's ever driven one knows that you haven't.

As for the AMG, who doesn't want one? The problem there would be affording it.

I guess the product I am recommending to everyone is experience.

Leejo, which do you like better, your 5 or the 3 you're borrowing? I'm assuming the 3-series is quicker.

Re: What product would you recommend to anyone?

I have the MX-500 and it is a sweet remote if you have a home theater setup. It was recomended to me by a good friend that install's home theater's in homes.

Home Theater Master MX-500 http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16880100601

Home Theater Master MX-700 http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16880100602

Did you see how that Gallant smoked a 3 series in that video game. LOL!!

My fiance's mom has a 330ci and it is a sweet car, I wouldn't mind driving one everyday.

Yeah the 3 is quicker, but I like my 5 better. The 3 rocks for under-30 maybe, but the 5 has more nice touches and feels much more substantial. It's by no means slow or mushy either - I'm sure you know about the onboard computer. I have mine set to chime at 100 since I've accidentally gotten that fast accelerating to pass someone at 70 or so.

It's astonishing how athletic the 5 is at 85. When some tool decides to drive on top of you on the highway at 85mph, and you have to jump on the brakes and swerve into the next lane, and you realize how easily the car just handled that, you know you're in a world-class auto.

And unlike the 3, if I can't outrun someone, I can drive through them. It's beefy.

I would even more highly recommend the Logitech Harmony remote line. I have a 676 and one of the older ones (468?), and I have tried almost all of the other models.

http://www.logitech.com/index.cfm/pr...S/EN,CRID=2080

The 676 is my fav, but if you want the ultimate power, the 8xx models are nice.

(My friend is a Harmony designer, but I would recommend it anyway. )

Re: What product would you recommend to anyone?

This thread lacks input from the female variety, so I will put in my 2 cents.

And if anyone makes any comments about "leave it to a woman to post about chocolate" I'll unleash my womanly wrath.

If you've never had these, you're really missing out. My friends and I refer to them as "mouthgasms".

Yum.

You're too late.

Does this mean I should question Patriot's sexuality?

BTW, I can't wait until Monday when all the chocolate will be marked 1/2 off at all the stores!
