Good laptop games?

I wanted to start a thread for us road warriors. I've finally gotten Rome:Total War loaded on the laptop and think it's a great laptop game.

What are some other games that play well on laptops - assuming that you're on a plane and can't plug in your mouse for fragging?

Re: Good laptop games?

Civilization III is a nice diversion, and should work nicely on a notebook computer.

That's funny, I recommended the same thing to him in AIM when we were discussing it! I've also found that CS Source runs pretty well on my laptop too! I can't turn up all the graphical bells and whistles, but it plays pretty damn well!

Re: Good laptop games?

any c&c game...... Tiberian Sun and Generals are both really good.

Tiger woods golf.

mohaa and subsequent add-ons

Deus EX

Splinter cell

Max Paine

Black&White and its expansions

the biggest plusses to these games is 1) they play well with lesser video cards..... 2) they have good SP stories.

Diablo 2 also runs well on every laptop I've tried.

I play this one on my laptop too. What I found out about laptops though is if you have a widescreen display, make sure the game fits appropriately. I can't seem to get CivIII to use the right display size ratio so it looks sort of funny, but still playable.

I'd also recommend the latest Chessmaster.

Hoyle Casino 2003 or 2004.

Stay away from the latest version (I think it's Hoyle Casino 3D), as it is reported to have some serious bugs. 2003 and 2004 are pretty much the same except for graphics and other fluff...

I have Dungeon Keeper and Starcraft on my laptop. They help pass the time.

Which isn't yours: Starcraft, the wireless, or the laptop?

I'm 15 living at home so the only thing that is mine is the game Starcraft, but I do use the other two the most out of my family.

Re: Good laptop games?

I'm on the road now having a lot of fun with Tropico. For some reason, I like Tropico 1 better than Tropico 2.
