Re: London bombings

What strikes me as odd was that this wasn't suicide bombings from what I can tell. I thought the al queda attacks have all been suicide up until this one... and the statement of a "secret cell of al queda" seems weird.

Re: London bombings

Apparently a group called the "Secret Organization group of al-Qaeda of Jihad in Europe" claimed responsibility. I couldn't help but laugh, because I can't believe they picked a name as super-villanish as that.

Edit: Also this news was extra depressing because I had a dream I was married to an English girl last night.

Re: London bombings

It certianly does. My thoughts and prayers also go out to the family's affected by this horrible, horrible disaster. Think it was meant to mess up the G8 meeting, what a twisted world we are living in.

Re: London bombings

The church I work at has a missions trip to Uganda that will lay over in London overnight tonight. this has hit very close to home for me as many people I am very close to will be a few minutes from this. also, thier flights were cancelled the first time, they should have been in Uganda already, but one of the people going would have been in london @ 8:30 this morning had that first flight not been cancelled. So Very thankfully, a flight on Friday being cancelled might have saved her life.

This is a horrible tragedy for all citizens of the free world, and my prayers are with the entire country, not to mention those most directly affected. England as a whole stood by us whole-heartedly in our time of need, and now, we get the honor and priviledge to support our great neighbors in their hour of need.

Claiming responsibility for a bombing is not illegal so the ISP has no requirement to hand over any information. Western powers also have no access or jurisdiction over e.g. a Saudi ISP.

I just hope that some this doesn't stop them making some vital agreements at the G8 summit. Whatever some crackpot terrorist thinks of Britain, I have never been more proud to be British then I have recently in light of the Make Poverty History campaign and our leaders' work to get something done.

Re: London bombings

I have a quick question about the streets in London, don't they have cameras everywhere. I was just wondering if their is a possibility of catching them on a camera planting the bombs.

First let me say to my brit friends and family....all of our love, support and hope go to you at this time. You were there for us after the WTC attack(RIP 4k) and we shall be there for you. Good luck and may your love ones be safe.

now--
I believe we(free nations) represent an anti to their beliefs and way of life. The terrorists(not the muslim terrorists) goal is to convert the world or kill the infidels(free nation folks, and those who do not believe as they do) They truely believe that they are sanctioned by their god to murder anyone who is not of them. And I hope this isn't too far off for the tone of this forum, but I(me, myself, my feelings) feel we can not stop, should not stop until the fanatics are eraticated. They are dangerous to the free world.

Re: London bombings

My mistake. If I realised that I would have let him reply to you rather than question the comment again. Using proper quotes makes it harder to confuse the quote from the post.

I have removed my quote above since it's redundant.

Re: London bombings

Londoners have been through this for years and really nothing has changed. IRA etc. I mean the bomb at canary wolf years ago was propper scary because i FELT it here, 20miles away, and i can see it out of my window.

911 SCARED ME SILLY party because id been seeing it in my dreams for about 6 months before it happend (i also saw this), but and also because of the thought of attack from the sky, which can target anywhere etc. its wierd really. i feel less scared than i did with 911, but then maybe because that was the "change"... from then on nothing was the same.
