Re: Politically incorrect Tshirt

Just like the bible is to the Christian doctrine, the Koran is a piece of the Islamic way of life. Both preach the same thing "Do unto others as you'd want done onto you." I bet if I posted a t-shirt that insulted Christians or Americans, you guys would be outraged. That shirt is not only insulting towards Muslims (there are fanatics in every religion, a few does not always mirror the beliefs of many. Remember Timothy McVey?) but insulting to any free-thinking person who believes that all people should be treated with an equal respect unless they personally show me otherwise. Fanatics do the wrong things that you guys get up in arms over, the Koran does not tell them to.

We humans sometimes shroud in humor comments we otherwise wouldn't make. That way we can just point at it and say "Look! It's a joke!"

It makes perfect sense. I imagine a muslim community with similar posts in its forums, but all the roles juxtaposed. And in the same place, I imagine there are those who think that that it's in poor taste and only leads to further animosity and misunderstanding.

The point isn't "There are others doing it, so it must be OK." The point is that people who are truly better than those "others doing it" don't follow suit, but rise above it.
