Re: Why the FEMA response was delayed

I just google for them - I agree that maybe that pic was inappropriate in theses forums, but what about mainstream media? Why can't we see the human suffering in all it's glory? Maybe such pictures could invoke the empathy they deserve.

Re: Why the FEMA response was delayed

We CAN see the human suffering in all its glory. As you say, just google for them.

I have a little girl at home and don't want to be watching the news with her in the room when pa-pow there's some dead kid or a headless american contractor or whatever. Lock the kid in the closet hun, I'm about to turn on the television.

Plus it's impolite. Don't post pics like that in a forum without warning or a way to avoid looking at it should one not be in the mood or interested. Post a link with a warning and no-one's going to complain too much.

Re: Why the FEMA response was delayed

I guess - It's hard for me to relate because I do not have children.

Re: Why the FEMA response was delayed

I have to COMPLETELY concur with Leejo.

There's a time and a place, and I have seen FAR FAR worse, however this isn't the place at this time for something of even that caliber to be randomly called forth.

You don't have to relate, you need to THINK.

Yeah... I cannot relate either, and even if it isn't sick to me, if it means nothing, it's still a sick thing.

That would've been the appropriate way to share that image here...

Re: Why the FEMA response was delayed

Even then, I can see it offending a few people just from the sheer shock value of "Wow, that was sudden"

I don't particularly care. If someone is stupid enough to click on a link that has a warning about an offensive, graphic image and they're offended, then they've got bigger problems.
