Ouch, lesson there. Always make sure your valuables are protected/insured. Cable and broadband can always come later (I know, that is an evil thought there, I must be the devil).

I know, I know, but I wasn't expecting a hurricane to flood N.O. the next week. Anyways cut me some slack, I was getting cable to watch the news(cough).

That is very true, I was disappointed that he didn't step up and take responsibility for his mistakes instead of blaming everyone else.

I did find one exchange interesting though (and I am afraid that those that are anti-Brown/Anti-Bush may miss). One of the senators (republican I believe) asked him what was FEMA's plans and mistakes in evacuating the city before the hurricane hit. Brown informed him that it wasn't FEMA's role to be the evacuator, but the local and state governments are suppose to do that. I agree on that point.

Yeah, it wasn't so much what he said, it was how he said it. He was in no position to take such an angry, offended tone with those legislators. Especially after the truth came out about how he was hired...

I suppose this is the horse racing guy or whatever that we're talking about? If so, I never really understood why he got hired in the first place. What warrented him the job, and such.
