Military exceeding retention goals

It seems that America may not be becoming as much a nation of pussies as I thought...

The economy is doing great and the military is still surpassing retention goals? That's for no other reason than patriotic men and women are wanting to kick ass...

Notice that all the branches have slightly exceeded their six month retention goals, while the Marines have already met 90% of their goal for the year? When the Marines are the ones hit the hardest, doing the most with the least, what does that say about our country?
