Re: New release from Springfield Armory

you cold sonofabitch

$640 + tax ( $52.80) from cdnn + 10 shipping + $50 ffl xfer = $752.80 for me. No tritium or high cap magazines. That's extra.

Can you get 2 through your agency?

Unfortunately, no. My boss has to sign off on a form that says it's intended for duty use.

Hmmm, I'm not sure... He's retiring next week, and I'm not sure that he's doing it voluntarily...

I wonder how many times that phrase has been uttered/printed over the years, and yet the 1911 is now more popular and available in more configurations from more companies than ever before. It's not going away.

A Kimber CDP II (not sure which size) is one of the candidates for my future handgun. It's a 1911 for those that aren't familiar with it.

I'm bugging Kimber to make an Eclipse in .40

I think those are some of the best looking pistols ever made by a factory.

I just looked and couldn't find a photo on the web that really does it justice. If you haven't seen one, you've got to go look at one.

I did some google imaging...that is most deffinitely a handsome looking weapon. If I should ever get in the situation where I have to draw my weapon, perhaps I could distract my opponent with its undeniable beauty.

The other candidate in the 1911 department is Wilson Combat's CQB. However, at this point in my shooting "career" I'm not sure if I could justify spending almost $2000 on a handgun. It's the Ferrari of all my candidates.

Re: New release from Springfield Armory

I've got a Springfield Armory 1911, and I'm very happy with it. The next .45ACP on my list WAS going to be a CZ-97B, but now that Springfield has released their XD in .45ACP, I will most likely change my mind.

That Springfield XD has also caught my eye. What are the price estimates for the .45ACP?

Keep in mind that every new 45ACP XD comes with a pistol case, cable lock, holster, mag loader, double mag pouch and two 13-round mags. Guns&Ammo reports that the MSRP is as follows:
4-inch Black or OD Green: $559
4-inch Bi-Tone: $595
5-inch Black or OD Green: $595
5-inch Bi-Tone: $626

Re: New release from Springfield Armory

That's not bad at all considering all the accessories that come with it. Thanks for the info.
