Beverage with meal?

100% Inspired by the cereal thing:

What do you drink with your evening meal?

And for the Bonus, do you call it dinner or supper? (or "suppah" or "dinnah")

Re: Beverage with meal?

Chocolate milk. Quik, not Hersheys. 2%, but 1% is ok. (I used to drink high-fat, but got used to 2% because everyone else in the family preferred it. Non-fat is unacceptable, though.)

My schedule rotates, so the "evening" meal might be breakfast. The meal I eat before I go to bed (which might be at 6 am or noon) is "dinner".

Re: Beverage with meal?

My mom's family calls it dinner and my dad's side calls it supper. Appearntly, I use both.

Though dinner does look better in writing. I look at supper and feel like an idiot cause I think I misspelled super.

The drink varies, but it's dinner all the way.

You left off sweet tea for all the southern folk! I usually have to repeat myself when I order unsweetened tea from anywhere around here

Re: Beverage with meal?

Bud Light by choice...too many nights of hard liquor while stationed in Germany kept me away when I came back to the states.

Here in Wisconsin it is different, most prople call "lunch" supper, and call "dinner" dinner. It gets kind of confusing. I'm a native of Wisconsin, but was raised a military brat, didnt live in the state much, mostly Virginia and Cali, so to me dinner would be the choice, and lunch is lunch, not supper.

Re: Beverage with meal?

I voted for pop/dinner, but I'm just as likely to have water instead.

lol that's cause i've never heard of it

so "iced tea" is unsweetened tea? (tea-bags in cold water)
and sweet tea is... well... that with sugar? (or the lipton/nestea stuff you can buy in a 2 liter?)

it's all iced-tea to me...
