Re: How Cool is Technology?

A watch with 1 GB flash memory on board:

http://www.edgetechcorp.com/store/EDGDM00USBWATCH.htm

A technician visiting my facility needed to connect to the home office with his laptop and needed a wireless key. I walked across our machine shop to where he was set up, taking my watch off as I approached. He looked quite confused. Then I pulled the USB connector from the wrist strap and plugged it into the back of his laptop and his jaw dropped. I proceeded to pull our WAP key from a directory on the watch and load it into his NIC config and he was online in about 30 seconds.

That's cool. i know if i tried that though, he'd still be there 1/2 an hour later with a patient but bored expression on his face, and me telling him "that's odd...it was working five minutes ago..."

Current piece of technological coolnes is a Palm i picked up for a steal.

Yes, Sir. That's my baby.

i also love wireless headphones, wonderful things they are. Only drawback is whenever i have to wear normal ones, and inevitably much involuntary clearing of desktops and much twisting of neck ensues as i walk away forgetting they're still plugged in.
