Videos to focus your passion...

No, not that kind of passion...

Every few weeks/months, I watch all of these videos. They remind me of why we're at war, what we're fighting for, what our men and women are going through, why we're able to sit at computers and play games and so much more... These videos should not only make you think, but they should make you feel differently. I remember the upsurge in patriotism that overcame the United States in the days and weeks that followed the tragedy in September of 2001. I want that patriotism back.

I recommend watching these videos in this order:
September 11 Videos
Footage that I had never seen before:

Shot from street level of South Tower collapsing - Google Video

YouTube - 9/11 Kevin Cosgrove

The next two are tribute "films" made of still photos set to music:

Now go to GrouchyMedia.com - Military Music Videos and watch his three videos.
Watch them in order, starting with Taliban Bodies.

Then enjoy this one. Being in the field is often boring.
A fun video made by some soldiers in the desert:

Think of these videos when you read Badger's latest post.

Watched 'em lately? You haven't forgotten, have you? In a couple of days, it will have been three years since that horrific occasion. Let's not forget the other victims of these Islamic terrorists, either. Spain, Indonesia, Russia have all been pummelled by this new enemy. We can't let them win.

On HBO last night was a tribute to 9/11. It took video from the various networks that were there, including personal videos and photos. They aired the planes hitting, people jumping from the windows, phone calls from folks in the building that knew they weren't getting out and interviews with people looking for lost loved ones. It was actually well done, in good taste. It was moving and a bit hard to watch at times. I'm glad I watched it.

I wish I'd seen that, Asch. Didn't know it was on. My wife was in the air flying over DC when all of that went down. Thanks for the links.

Re: Videos to focus your passion...

The oposite happened on Channel 4 over here very recently. it was called a reinactment of the tradgedy following those who died on the day and the hyjackers. unfortunatly some anti war wrotestor was the one filmeing it and they actually portrayed the terrorists as heros. explaining how one of them was in love with a women and was torn between his love for her and bringing the evil in america down.

needless to say i aswell as many people wrote in condemning the programme,

disgusting.

It's getting closer to election day. I suggest you watch these videos a few times before you vote. Then think about who would best lead this country in these troubled times...

Well, I doubt that the citizens of Iraq had any doubts about what they were voting for, but have you forgotten?
