Re: gas prices ?

What are the taxes on a liter of gasoline in England? Here it's close to $0.60/gallon. In Rhode Island prices range from about $2.15-$2.75 gallon.

Does England have any oil wells of it's own?

Re: gas prices ?

Yes we have North Sea Oil and our tax (lol check out this mofo) is 80% or maybe a little higher. Current petrol prices are .80p a litre and there's 4.5 litres to the gallon I think so that's around £3.60 a gallon or $6.80 converted to you.

Re: gas prices ?

Also like to add we are in the middle of another petrol protest, tax is expected to rise and many people don't like the idea so will probably sabotage links causing general chaos.

Thumbs up Re: gas prices ?

Here in Texas, we have gas prices from $1.00-$2.00. I think we are very fortunate. I drive my Dodge Stealth and my Ford Mustang, they give pretty good mileage. Good deal for me and most of Texas (who drive Japanese cars).

Imperial(British) Gallon = 4.54L

A litre is always a litre. The difference between American and Imperial gallons is .74L

Re: gas prices ?

Geez here in My part of maryland, I've seen $2.53 down to $2.39 /gallon.

Anyone got a horse and buggy for sale? I have pretty good shoes though as well. and the DC metro aside from it's problems is pretty reliable.

2.54 or somethign a gallon.. over thirty dollars.. How much is it where you live?
Chicagoland 2.20ish -2.60ish
Good heavens, do you live downtown or something? I'm right next to O'Hare and it's only $2.09-$2.16 here. And $2.16 is Shell!

Greg & I are liking our new house. We can now walk to 3 different grocery stores, 2 drug stores, a bakery, a butcher shop, a liquor store, 3 restaurants, 2 parks, a 2nd-run movie theater, a sundae shop, and the Metra stop to go to downtown Chicago. Within literally 4 blocks. Take THAT, new-construction-suburbia! Of course, we hear hourly commuter trains, daily freight trains, and airplanes every five minutes, but still...
