Re: Bush shows his class

I have to say that I think this thread really boils down to opinions.

I mean, it IS a forum thread. And it IS about president Bush.

Now, this last page of the thread has been... regressive, in my opinion. I can't see the merit in shutting down other people's posts, regardless of their poor choice in words. A statement that something is fact in the forums.. well that's just their opinion, and shouldn't warrant any flogging. I mean anything that is a REAL fact wouldn't be very much fun to talk about, now would it?

In fact, given the topic of the thread, the last several posts border on absurd irony.

To the thread: Good move by bush, but it's only decency. Showing that he has the common decency to field a question from an opposing camp isn't all that impressive. Quieting down the booing man served to allow bush the chance to HEAR the question. So, yeah. Well done, I guess, President Bush. On the flip side of the coin, if you want to see an example of Bush being immature, just watch the 2004 presidential debates. Bush scoffs at, snorts at, snickers at, and eye-rolls at half the things Kerry says. And I'm not saying Kerry didn't deserve it, I'm just saying that's what *I* saw.

And guys, remember that this guy is the American president, not the Republican one. We ALL are affected by him (even non-Americans), and we ALL should be open-minded enough to criticize his errors and celebrate his successes.

I'm not sure exactly what you mean. If we all just posted facts here in the Sandbox, you're right, it wouldn't be much fun. But when we post our opinions, backed up by facts, it gets quite interesting!

Yes, I'm not a Republican, but I supported President Bush and was extremely disappointed with his behavior in that one debate where he was being so melodramatic. I'm sure his campaign advisors told him to try it out, but it was very unprofessional, IMO.

Absolutely. I think that sometimes people forget or don't want to admit that just because they don't like him and didn't vote for him, that President Bush is still our president. "Warts and all..."

Re: Bush shows his class

I wish people would just grow up, say what they like an dislike, and get over themselves. I'm sick of seeing both sides bicker like children on a fat and sugar high.

Seriously though, Bush let the guy give his opinion. It made him LOOK bad. Now, I as a basic moderate now notice a trend: republicans let democrats rip on them. A lot. And it's to the point where everything is totally bias because of the media.

Another thing is, the media shows nothing but crap in the world. OMG THIS CELEB GOT PREGNANT OMG THIS PLACE GOT ITS UNDERWEARS STOLEN .. .who cares? How about we see stuff that's actually HAPPY.

I'm not saying the worlds happy but the media purposely leaves some of the NEWS out on purpose. And it's irritating me. There.

I saw both of them basically picking on each other like fools...what with the eyerolling. But that's going to happen; we ARE only human.
