Right in Two would have to be my favorite track, as it really starts to rock in the second half of the song, and the lyrics are cool to boot.

I dont think this is Lateralus 2, though. Most of the songs dont have anything to do with eachother in terms of meaning, but Lateralus was connected from song to song. Also, this is the first Tool album since Maynard's mom's death, and both wings for marie and 10000 days are about her death and how he doesnt understand why after being paralyzed, his mom got an even deeper faith in Christianity. In A Perfect Circle, the song Judith is also about his mother. This theme about his mom doesnt go on from song to song, because Vicarious is about our apathy towards people dying in war on our TVs, and Right in Two is about how humans are always killing eachother and its our free will thats partly the cause of it. I dont know what the rest of the songs mean, but i assume they are completely different from one another.
Actually, all the songs ARE connected. The theme of Undertow was being sucked into or overwhelmed by situations, Aenima was about a change for the better/pragmatic, Lateralus was about reparations and beauty, and 10,000 Days is about vice and redemption. Maynard doesn't question his mom having deeper faith, he worships it.

Judith was about those that called her crippling an act of God, and chose to worship such a loveless god, while she simply loved him, and didn't blame her paralysis on him (Source: aMOTION commentary for Judith). Wings for Marie and 10,000 Days is about how she is the only one worthy of entering Heaven and recieving her Wings (a beautiful reward for a paralysis victim), because she understands the concept of Love and God, while others only love out of Fear.

Vicarious: Obsession with observing pain and violence
Jambi: Like Schism, but with Jesus, against division?
WfM and 10,000 done above
The Pot: Hypocrisy
Lipan Conjuring: ???
Lost Keys (Blame Hofmann): Introducing a patient of next song
Rosetta Stoned: What would happen if the chosen bearer for a decree from on high was a stoner? (Stoners are dredges of society, wasted lethargacies of human)
Intension: the purity of birth and fire, the loss of that purity through age
Right in Two: humans being gifted so use those gifts for the most base and savage means.
Viginti Tres: ???

I think this album is easily the most inaccessible of Tool albums, for various reasons.

Damn, that really struck a nerve there didn't it?
C'mon, they've got an excellent singer who can actually sing, the drumming is crazy, the guitars are F'ing wicked fast, and even the bass and keyboard rock.
I mean sure, they're weird and maybe I wouldn't hang out with 'um, but you gotta admit, they get a big fat shiny metal for musicianship.
'Cause I'm pretty sure absolutely no one I know, and very few people I've ever heard of can play that well. I garentee you I couldn't.
Don't hate, appreciate.

Luna is a fellow WoW junkie, although I'm fairly certain she at least plays a few of the other games sporadically.

Alright, I finally got my act together and pumped out a list of bands.
I have at least one Album by about 90% of these astists, and in my opinion, all of them have a lot of skill in their various areas. I would suggest checking out all of them if you've the time.

I know this comes kinda late, sorry. But I've also notice nobody has posted quite the range of bands I enjoy, so I'd love to read agreements, dissagreements, or questions.

Entertainment?

Well, I wasnt really sure if there was a music intrest thread or not. Didn't really want to search through the 15 pages for one :P. Hope you don't mind me starting one, I really enjoy music alot. Just curious what kind o music you guys are all into and stuff, and if you play any instruments. As for me, I play drums, guitar, and bass... I like ska/punk, classic rock... some new rock. Not a big fan of coutnry, techno or that insane screaming/hardcore stuff. You guys?
