Tough crowd. Colbert was really hit and miss, but he got some good ones in there.

The guy has some serious stones. I wouldn't say it was hit and miss, I think some of his jokes just hit a bit too hard. The guy tore the President a new one while standing ten feet away and called the whole damn Press Corps a bunch of cowards to their faces. Awesome.

You got that right pecker. The President and press corp were mostly stoned faced - Colbert really was spot on.

I'm getting a dead link. Does anyone know where I can find a copy of the event online? A torrent would be ideal. I just looked thru CSPAN/CSPAN2 and 3 for the next week and didn't see it listed.

Only got to watch the 1st part (guess there's 3 total) so far but thought it was funny. Colbert is hilarious. Definitely has some big ones to throw some of those jokes out there.

Colbert is giving the performance of his life here, a very sophisticated and sharp mockery of not only cocky over-opinionated journalists, but also of Bush himself.

You're right. The President was much funnier than Colbert. I had never even heard of Colbert until Munchkin (I think?) posted a link to a clip from his show. The clips I've seen from the Colbert Report have been pretty funny, but he sucked pretty bad at this dinner.
