Oh ... oh no, I hope he wasn't like the kid that turned into a car whenever he got hot (old sat morning cartoon reference that nobody else seems to remember but me).

For sure they survived, and probably uninjured. The airbag probably caused more friction damage than anything else.

Note the unbroken windscreen and completely intact passenger cell.

It's so far ahead of the car that it's not even in a photo that shows how far ahead it is in relation to the car!
