Man, I spoke too soon. They are still here for the time being.
![]() Crazy came home with her 2 hellspawns today. Lucky for them, she parked in an ideal spot to help them with their slam dunks. My wife snapped this and said they were dancing on the hood of her SUV all afternoon while she cleaned the deck off. She never told them to get off the car. I don't know about you guys, but I wouldn't let my kids dance on my car's hood. ![]() |

Re: oh yeah, RANT ON (or, "I wish my neighbors would hurry up and die")
Quite a story. What was the guy's business again? Her's? Any idea?
Terrible to see how people can be so horrible to animals, children, neighbours, each other. Everyday sort of deviant behaviour -- like people that do not clean up their tables in coffee shops, live their crap for the next person (or the overwork staff that are too busy at the cash), only much worse. What a life of misery they make for themselves and others (I can't believe such people get anything near life's full measure of joy). How did two chumps like that manage to afford the two cars, kids, two dogs, and all the other crap? Or did it all come down to easy credit?

I'm a big believer in karma. This whole saga just goes to illustrate how it works. You treat yourselves and those around you badly and bad things will begin to happen to you. By that measure, I think having their house foreclosed on is the least of their troubles in the days to come.

I wish the greenery in my back yard was under that much control. I need to go cut some blackberry vines down. And weed-whack the weeds.

That is an excellent idea. I can't help but feel sorry for the kids and animals, and your neighborhood. It must be awful to be going through all of this as their child. :P

Re: oh yeah, RANT ON (or, "I wish my neighbors would hurry up and die")
My kids would never be found on top of my car like that. No respect taught and none given. Geesh...GMC Envoy...nice SUV worth 25 K at minimum...what are those parents thinking.
Bummed you had to live through it JMJ but awfully tragic to see kids let down like that. They are on a path to potential ruin. Quote:
The foreclosure rate in Massachussets has increased hugely over the last two or three years. During the last metoric rise in real estate between say 1999 and 2005 many buyers got loans from subprime lenders. The market was hot and many people bought more home than they could really afford. The kicker was the adjustable percentage rate. Rates have gone up a lot recently and I bet the couple involved in this saga got caught up somehow like that. The market here has cooled off considerably and the subprime loan business is under some scrutiny by the State. Good time to buy actually, if you have ok credit and a downpayment.

Ohio is kind of going thru the same thing. To many interest only loans and then peoiple cant afford their house after the 5 years, good time to buy.

Re: oh yeah, RANT ON (or, "I wish my neighbors would hurry up and die")
God damnit! Apparently there is no code for 3 foot weeds covering your yard and you doing nothing about it. Gotta be full of fleas, ticks, etc. Code enforcement said if there were rodents in the yard, then they could do something.
Damn yard needs a good carpet bombing! |

Re: oh yeah, RANT ON (or, "I wish my neighbors would hurry up and die")
What's the problem with weeds in their back yard? Here in California, there's even a move to encourage use of local drought-tolerant flora instead of thirsty foreign flowers, and I think that basically means "grow weeds".
The only issue I can see would be fire danger. If the weeds aren't dry, that shouldn't be an issue.
