Okay guys and girls, Apophis stopped by my place tonight and I gave him a tour of the wreck that is my neighbor's house. He said he'd stop by this thread and tell you about it

Re: oh yeah, RANT ON (or, "I wish my neighbors would hurry up and die")
What I saw was just unreal. The pics that JMJ has put up just don't do justice to the carnage that sits next to his house.
The first thing I noticed was the mailbox. When the previous mailbox got busted down (possibly due to the burnouts visible on the front lawn and even on the walkway up to the font door) they bought a metal bracket that affixed to the bottom of the mailbox post. The bottom of the bracket has a stake that is meant to be pushed down into the ground about a foot. It looks like they just pushed it in about an inch. The whole thing looks gaff. The garbage around the front and back yards as well as the driveway was the second thing that caught my eye. Upon further inspection, we even saw garbage in the now-drained pool! The water left in the pool looks pretty dank too. I think JMJ has a nice mosquito farm next door to him now. The side porch was destroyed, but it does appear as though they put the support post back up on the front porch. Windows broken on the second floor. Visible damage all over the place on the rest of the exterior. What amused me the most was the side of the hose opposite JMJ's place. What first appeared to be a row of bushes turned out to be a thick row of weeds that stood almost as tall as I. I think the biggest shame in it all is that the house COULD be very nice. The property is nicely landscaped, it's just not been maintained. There is a really nice stone retaining wall on JMJ's side that used to have some nice flowers growing along the border. I can't even do the place justice describing it. It really would require a bit of video and even then you won't be able to get a complete picture.

Re: oh yeah, RANT ON (or, "I wish my neighbors would hurry up and die")
Damnit, 2 great opportunities gone
My wife happened to look outside and there was a sheriff at their house. She went outside but was too late, he was getting in the car and drove off.Opportunity 1: Picture of sheriff, of course. Opportunity 2: Inform sheriff of the neighbor's new address so he could go see them there ![]() |

Re: oh yeah, RANT ON (or, "I wish my neighbors would hurry up and die")
Okay, I know I owe you the video walkthrough of the place. I need a lookout while I do it, I can't chance getting caught since they live 2 minutes away from here. Knowing my luck they'll come home as I'm filming away. I asked my wife to do it but she said that was very tacky. Very tacky? She laughs at this thread, laughs at the images, and even walks over there herself to check it out yet me taking video is tacky. Whiskey Tango Foxtrot?!?!?!
Anyway, check out this picture. The garage has literally been open for 2 days now. There is still stuff in there, but nothing in there is really of interest. What is of interest is highlighted by the red arrow in this image. The other opening is the single car garage. The opening highlighted by the red arrow is the "Door" going from the garage to the basement. Funny thing, there is no door. There isn't even a door frame anymore, you can see bare cinderblocks where the frame "used" to be. We just saw this yesterday, we had no idea they were into ripping doors out, but I guess it doesn't surprise me. Why in the hell would you rip the entire door and frame out?!?!? Man, I can't wait till I get the chance to see the inside of this place. ![]() |

Re: oh yeah, RANT ON (or, "I wish my neighbors would hurry up and die")
Wow, good thing I got out of there when I did! He came back shortly after and loaded more stuff in the truck. I pep-talked my wife up enough for her to ask him about the house. He was very nice to her, he always has been. Probably because she has big boobs. (And no, I won't post pictures for you!
)House is not on the market, yet. He needs to "do some things" (yeah, no sh*t) to the house first. It might be a good deal, he wants to sell fast and just break even with the bank. That means a good buy on the house, but I'm sure he's going to ask for more than just breaking even with the bank because he has mega leins that he has to pay off. Oh well, guess that's it for tonight ![]() |
