Re: What are TG'ers plans for the future ?
WIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIII IIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIII
Dumbest Name Ever. I don't plan games or consoles ahead of time. I guess it is because the pre-release hype is generally pure BS, so there is no point even thinking about it until people have the final product in their hands. My main purchase waiting in the queue is a projector for my basement, but that is on hold until the basement has walls and such... ![]()

Re: What are TG'ers plans for the future ?
I have a 360 got it when it came out. That was a waste of money should have waited for what I got it was to much money and most of my old X-Box games most of them do not work on the 360.
Glad I have it and my computer need a new one |

Agreed. I just want a racing game and my six year old son is a good excuse to get my first console since the original Nintendo.

I'm thinking Wii, cheapest of the bunch. Besides, I have friends that have a 360 and are going to get a PS3

Wii. Zelda only comes on the Wii.

Re: What are TG'ers plans for the future? (console gaming)
When Smash Brothers Brawl with internet multiplayer comes out for the Wii the console should have settled at a pretty low post-christmas price. If that happens I'll probably get one. It sounds like it will be a good system to have for someone who knows that the PC will remain the mainstay for "serious" gaming.

Re: What are TG'ers plans for the future? (console gaming)
All my serious gaming needs can be handled by the PC. The Wii is a vital part of my continuing mission to get my wife to game with me. She was intrigued by the videos of 4 player tennis from E3 and the Mario Galaxy videos. The suprise DS lite with the new Mario Bros, Big Brain Academy, and Tetris next week are my opening salvos.

The Wii is the first console I've even seriously considered purchasing since the Sega Genesis.

Re: What are TG'ers plans for the future? (console gaming)
I currently own a 360 and I like it for a few games (mostly racing and Geometry Wars!
).However, in the next 2 years or so, I plan on having the PS3, the Wii, a brand new high-end compy, and 2 new, large, 1080p sets (PS3 = 49:1 aspect ratio ). As well as 2 high-end sound systems to support the whole setup. Also cant forget the HD-DVD and Blu-ray stuff (but that should be covered in the 360 and PS3, respectively)Suffice to say, that I will probably never leave my house again ![]() |

Re: What are TG'ers plans for the future? (console gaming)
Sony is definitely pushing the envelope for their PS3. Already have a 360 and I am satisfied with it. It will all depend on what the market takes off with the HD DVD or Blu-ray. I won't buy the PS3. Games do not look that spectacular compared to the 360's launch games. Only 15 at launch and no dev kits are being issued to the developers right now, thats pathetic.
